When you guys make new threads in the forums, I think it would help the admins out if you did the following:
If the report is about stolen music put the title as such AND put the person's username in the title. That may help cut down on people making multiple reports on the same user.
Ex- Stolen Music by user GeekBling
Ex - Inappropriate Avatar by user IstuffBras
This should go for about anything that is stolen in or in violation. A lot of times users may delete a submission or change it when you make a report, so adding the person's username IN the report will narrow it to who was the violator so the admins can talk with them appropriately.
If you forget to put it in the title at least put it in the body of the message.

Arshes, you light up my life. Not just because this is a great idea, but because of your phony usernames. :D

This would be very useful. Otherwise it can get a bit hard to keep track of the threads in here.

I think this thread needs a good bumping with some other ideas that could SERIOUSLY HELP everyone. I've been sitting here long enough and just watching drama after drama unfold. Wouldn't it be nice if there was less drama on here?
In my personal opinion opening a thread in this forum should be a last resort to an issue. If you can handle it in private, why humiliate that person or yourself in the public eye? Y'know why give people more of a reason to laugh at us? I know some of us are busy people, but it'd be easier to send a quick PM to an admin about so-and-so doing something than having to counter every single thing any random user says in this forum.
So let's cut to the chase...
1. Everyone is watching. This is a public forum, so anything you say in here can be looked at by anyone from anywhere. So make sure to use common sense and it would be wise to keep it short and civil. Brevity is best.
2. Double-check the Terms of Service (http://www.furaffinity.net/lm/tos/), Submission Policy (http://www.furaffinity.net/lm/submissionpolicy/), and the Acceptable Upload Policy (http://www.furaffinity.net/lm/aup/). If you're reporting something that isn't a violation wouldn't it be embarrassing to you?
3. Trouble tickets (http://www.furaffinity.net/controls/troubletickets/) are your friends :D! If you have a non-urgent issue with someone or a group of people you should report it in private. if you report someone they have the same right to come to this forum and post their rebuttal with their friends, their friends' friends, and their pet poodle, Stacey. If you can resolve it with the admins and/or send a private message to the user whom you think has broken the rules and can fix it with them... Then that would be the best thing you can do. Why do what some celebrities do and bring all of their drama into the public view?
4. Let sleeping dogs lie. If an issue is clearly resolved, you have nothing to contribute, have no relation to the parties involved and/or want to reply with a "LOL" then you're just causing more problems. With more people gathering towards something the domino effect occurs and next thing you know there is an Encyclopedia Dramatica article written about it and then the issue will never die.
That's my one dollar and two cents.

I agree completely, and I think it should be looked into that so many threads are being started from bleed over from snarking communities. Often the op includes some lame *ss attempt to make it sound like their intent isnt to start drama, whilst all it takes is a quick check on the snarking forums to see that thats pretty much what they do everywhere else, so I find it odd that that wouldn't be their intent here.
Threads that start like this... "Is this a violation?", seem more like they're formated for open discussion to me, and more often than not, thats how they are reacted to.
I've seen times where the drama has been let go to long, and then the mods have a harder time dealing with things because something so otherwise trivial turns into an epic flash point. Then admins come in here and go all mega mod on participants who are failing to post to the threads according to the rules and suggestions, and although its plainly obvious to me, sometimes I can see where people can be confused as to being allowed to do it at first and then all of a sudden being reprimanded for it.
Double standards are not good for order. Lacking mod staff to handle the situation doesn't seem to be a good enough excuse to me, since their is such a large pool of the membership that can be screened and allowed to help the situation.

I think that there shouldn't be ANY threads in the H/SV forums that should start with "Is this.." There are enough links and all that and enough mention of the AUP and Site rules that NO one should have a problem with posting a violation. It either is or isn't a violation. Of course none of this matters because people don't like to read. :P
