Wow! Watches, watches, watches.... 24 watches total.
I can't say for sure, but it really looks like a bot.

Was it only 24 watches? I had to go by the number of comments received, and since all that I could see were "thanks for the watch" . . . *shrugs*

What doesn't help is the fact we can't "see" who Jade has watch on his/her watchlist. Without knowing, I can't tell if its a bot of just someone who's very very quiet.

Gee, i am not the most talkative dude on the internet, but at least i have /something/ about myself in the records... XD
Now given Pinkuh's reply, i do belive that this is simply a banned/warned user.

And the 'artist's watch list seems like a good idea, but i question if showing it would compromise some of the user's privacy they'd like to keep.
A debatable suggestion.... I vote for it however.

Well DA allows you to switch it on/off from public viewing. Mayby thats the way to go if you plan to implement a feature such as that.

But no-one voted on whether to make +fav'd artworks visible or not. :)

All +watches and +favs are visible at present, just not necessarily all in the same place.
Permitting watches to be invisible at both ends would also be a non-solution, IMO. If people have unwanted (lazy) stalkers, they deserve to know!

Yeah, jade just seems to be dropping in +watches on various people over an extended period and getting +watches in return, even if those weren't requested. No problems with that and judging by what happened with fxcbot04 they're probably not watching a huge number of people.
Certainly not banned and no indication that they've had anything of their's deleted.

Thanks for the note, Tensik. Doesn't hurt to mention as being somewhat unusual.

At the very least I think that it would be reasonable for the tech team/administrators to have access to that information; I don't think its a terrible violation of privacy for them to know who I watch or what type of art I like, that's pretty obvious from any public comments I leave.  ;)   Though I do like the idea of it being public . . . y! had "watches, watched by, and mutual friends" which came in very handy if you were looking for artists who might possibly be similar in style.

Edit: hehe, post while I do why don't you, unc. ;)

Indeed!
I've long been an advocate of that for +favs to allow people to hop across to find out what else other other people with similar tastes have been +faving.
Very useful in helping to build up communities/subcommunities and doubly so when combined with groups.

(Oh, and yeah, I'm well aware admins need more functionality of that nature. Sometimes it's fun, though; stabbing around in the dark trying to figure out what's going on. :) *jk*)

hehe, I don't think anyone is saying they shouldn't, but where they've had bot problems before, being able to tell a silent watcher from some code blasting through the system would be handy I'm sure. :)

And unc, the "post while I do" was nothing, i was on my way out the door and thought real quick we'd posted some conflicting things at the same time as I breezed past it, ignore the goofy lion!
