Photography is already allowed, but that's just clips of Lazytown and Monty Python. I might be interpreting it wrong, but the way I understand it the own content rule would mean that you had to at least have something you made or photographed in it, or the permission of the artist to animate one of their works. I'm not sure if piecing together still frames of a show counts as "own content" and I'm sure they didn't get permission to use it . . . *shrugs*

I think the reply you received stating "it can also be for flash of recording you took" is the crux of the issue re. possible misunderstanding/lack of clarity in the rules. (The flash (i.e. media) was "created" by the user, but the original content was not?)

I noticed these were still up . . . were they then considered to be okay for the site? Whether they are or not in and of itself makes no difference to me, just wanted to know for the future in they should be brought to the admins attention, especially as I read elsewhere that movie screenshots are not allowed.

Mhmm, Tensik... I had passed this over to Myr and/or Dragoneer on the admin forum since there were already two threads there awaiting resolution, but I think this got kinda buried amongst ongoing matters, again.

Looks like the dragon will be on the case later. :)

Bump again? I've been seeing increasing amounts of things like this but without an answer I've just been passing it by.

I have gone through and removed 33 images/songs/random BS from their account

I have also banned them for 72 hours becuase this is not the only trouble they have had with us before

I am now watching them so when they come back I can easily monitor the content coming through

(Edited cause I got the hourage wrong)

Actually, similar one, different user.  I don't know if they made the flash, but that's also copyrighted music.
