Eattin' Boogers

I saw something at work today and I just couldn't help but laugh at this.  One of our dockmen, without any sort of attempt to hide what he was doing, picked his nose and proceeded to yum the boogery goodness up.  This isn't really a rant or a rave or anything like that, but I have no idea where else to share this story.  What I know though is, that anyone who can pick a booger and eat it without any sort of care for what he's doing, is same sort of guy who when he wipes his ass and happens to get a little mess on his fingers, just smudges it on the nearest wall or cloth without washing his hands and walks off...and then serves you your food.  This is why I don't eat out anymore, unless I'm in the bedroom.  Shit I can eat out all day in there...

Man, why do I miss all of the good threads?

I've noticed something. Many people here have said things to the effect of "ew, not in public". But if picking the nose (also known as "picking a winner", "scraping the walls", "digging for gold", "embarking upon a magical quest for the Viscuous Green Beast of Nostrilia", and plain old "face fishing") is unacceptable in public, then what about in private? How many people here have, during their adult lives, experienced a situation-- say, where no tissues were available, and there was a massive booger of "petrified boulder"-hardness painfully lodged in the left nostril-- where there was no choice but to pick? I know I've done it. Sometimes it's all you can do. Sometimes it's preferable to the alternatives (i.e. blowing your nose on your shirt, blowing your nose on someone else's shirt, holding one finger to your other nostril and shooting that sucker out like a cannonball). Picking your nose is something that everybody has to do sooner or later, I'll bet.

Eating the stuff, though, is right out. That goop is flowing out of your body for a reason, fellow citizens of FA! It doesn't want to go back in, if you catch my drift.
