FA is slow, its always slow, even on the fasted internet connection.
the search is PERMANANTLY disabled making it impossible to browse other people art and only look at what you want to.

why does fanart-central.net and deviant art.net etc etc have no problems?

what if FA just totally scraped the current pages andchange the code, almost COPY the code from other fanart sites, cos theires obviously WORKS!

i love FA, its people and content is the only reason why i put up with these almost unbearably slow pageload speeds.

change the code!

There are two flaws in your logic

Neither DA, nor fanart-central will give up their code.
DA has a server farm to handle the enourmous flow of requests, and fanart-central doesn't even come close to FA in terms of page request/sec. 800k requests/day is what FA gets.

And we are scrapping the current code and working on a new one.

lol, its a brilliant idea, but codes are like secret recipes, its bad and dishonorable to steal them from others.

However, i agree TERRIBLY on the fact that the code of fa is the problem.

Instead of hundreds of dollars going to new fancy servers and awesome internet connections, a better more fluid and smooth code needs to be implemented, and i'm sure that its being worked on.

It would probably work better once project ferrox comes out, but its about a few months past due, and i hope not forgotten about
