Great things about the New Year

First and foremost: No more Patriot Act! Or so one could have hoped (http://www.voanews.com/english/2005-12-31-voa29.cfm).

But on to brighter and better things. 2006 will see the emergence of the real next generation consoles with the PS3 (http://hardware.gamespot.com/x-15015-O-4-4) and best of all the Revolution (http://hardware.gamespot.com/Nintendo-Revolution-15143-O-4-6). And yes, the Revolution is the best of all the next generation consoles, not because it is the most powerful. Not because it has the best line up of developers for it. But because it has the best starting library and I can actually afford it. With the Revolution I can get every old Nintendo game I ever wanted (like Secret of Evermore, Skate or Die, Excite Bike). 2006 will also see the twelfth edition of the Final Fantasy franchise, and damn can I not wait to see the dancing moogles during the parade scene. Moogles are just so cute and cuddly. And Fran (http://img.gamespot.com/gamespot/images/2005/135/459841_20050516_screen003.jpg) is totally sexy.

Outside the gaming world, 2006 will be the first year in a while that I have been single. And I'm really looking forward to that :D .

Well, the Patriot Act is not a bad thing, nor is it a great thing. I'm hoping they revise it for the better, but for now... meh.

I'm hoping 2006 is a lot more forgiving than 2005 was. The last thing we need this year is my OHSHITNATURALDISASTERS. We've had quite enough of those last year to last for a decade or so. =P

definate revison of the patriot act is needed theres a few other laws that came into existance that need revision as well
