Many thanks for the note, Grave.
I'm sure this isn't "horrific" to everyone in the community (even though it's something I'd never consider doing, myself!), but that's not the particular issue, here :)

Dragoneer's reply (http://www.furpawz.net/fa/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5390&highlight=#5390) on the topic of piercings didn't refer back to the top of the thread (http://www.furpawz.net/fa/forums/viewtopic.php?t=447) where that does state "Users may not upload photos of real people in explicit and/or sexual situations".
I don't have any admin access, myself, but hopefully we can clear this up (and clarify further, for future reference) in a friendly manner.
It's not stated, for instance, whether users can store such images on http://www.photobucket.com/ , etc., and add links to those from their own mature-rated submissions; e.g. to compare such piercings on an anthro or non-anthro artwork with the "RL article".
However, I know there are serious legal issues; in the US, for example, whereby anyone who poses for explicit RL photographs requires a written statement of their age. Obviously, that's not something we can handle here on FA. :?

Yeah but the person asked about NIPPLE piercings, not cock rings...there is a slight difference in which one is more explicit than the other.

Agreed!
Most of us live in societies where public display of nipples (from humans of either gender, pierced or otherwise) is a less taboo subject with regards to public display. :)
The original question from the other user was "would peircing art such as nipple rings" (emphasis mine).
Is easy to see how that could be mis-interpretated out-of-context -- or even that the full rules were not read, prior to posting. (I'm sure we all forget to do that from time-to-time!)

Well, first things first there Grave...
Such as how you made a statement, and then followed it by a question mark.. How intriguing!
Also. It's a phallic piercing, not a "cock ring". A cock ring is something worn at the base of the penis. However that is totally irrelevant. The point here is that you seem to either be offended by my submission, or jealous of it. And while I personally don't care (As I have already told Uncia2000, that I will be more than happy to remove the submission if it's just causing too much trouble).
So, why am I even posting this?
Simple.
Even if you dispise someone else's submissions, you have the responsibility to still be respectful to them. No matter how distasteful you find them to be. Because you are not the voice of the world. Believe it or not, there are people out there, with other opinions, and likes.
So basically, I'm just saying that the next time something comes along that you don't like, be respectful in your threads about it. Don't go off making comments like "Pierced for extra horrific-ness."
If you keep your remarks civil, and non threatening, you will at least come off looking much more intelligent, and that's important if you want to be respected.
Anyway. I'm finished ranting now.. Let me know what you guys decide Uncia, and thanks.

Will do, SpeedBrick.
Hopefully one of the admins will be able to give a call, soonish.
(I'm still intrigued, though, as to whether a link from a mature submission posted on FA to such an image hosted remotely would be OK, even if the image itself cannot be hosted for rules arising from legal matters).
Thanks & Have a good weekend.

It was removed. We allow posting of real pictures, but not real pictures that contain sexual content.
