Actually, that rather depends on the cut of meat. You certainly don't want to put acids on a super-lean strip steak, but a big, thick ribeye with good fat content is just fine.

Tomatoes ≠ Watermelon, but either way I have family that don't like tomatoes either so I know how it is. That's why whenever we use tomatoes for BLTs or something I'm left with the rest of the tomato, and that's how I usually finish them.
