I talked to the guy who usually scans my art for me just 30 minutes ago at his work. I made it quite clear that I had some free art done for someone that i wanted to submit before I leave for the weekend. As we're getting ready to leave getting ready to leave, I remind him once more. It's rare I'll use covers on toilets - they're such a pain in the ass to make work: you have to tear out that center part, which always rips the rest of the cover, so you have to do it again, and if you fuck that one up you're up shit creek and ready to burst, so that you finally scream "FUCK IT" and just sit down and get that nasty business over with, tears running down your face from the shame of using such a nasty potty.

not really, unless going from a dark room to a brightly lit one does it, but then wouldn't both of them be doing it then?

Not necessarily, many occasion, that it only happens to one of my eyes and not the other. Though other possibilities include eye-strain and fatigue. If you've been using electronics excessively, that can also cause it, as well as lack of sleep.
