My brother has been taking things from my room while im gone, and its seriously pissing me off. Its not games or something he'd actually use, but he dug through my closet for my patch container to take a WWII officers iron cross.....seriously why the fuck would he need that? So now I'm begging for a lock on my door and my dads being lazy about it to the point im tempted to do the damn job myself.

Welp, that laptop with all the hard-to-find/expensive accessories is gone. What's more is I even offered to pay him for stuff he put up for free. Curses, my search for a reasonably-priced and not dubious CD-ROM drive continues.

I'm under slow but increasing pressure from my parents to get a job. I have tried, at many places. And what really annoys me is that they usually say that they'll ring back in a week or so to tell me whether I'm hired or not. They hardly do. Only once I got a letter from Harvey Norman which said that I wan't needed.

Anyways, So I have that issue. But there's more.

At my theatre, there are only two people who are running the lights for this show ('Dusty', which is about Dusty Springfield), myself being one of them. The other person has his Jury selection process during the production week, which puts pressure on us lampies to program the lights tomorrow. We did a lot today but it was a rushed job and neither of us like what we have at the moment. We should have some more people about to help out, since there's seven of us who know how to use the lighting board, but they haven't shown up. Only me.
So I have pressure to get a job, AND get the lights set up, AND run the lights for the cast during production week.
What would make this worse is if the other person gets chosen to be on the jury, in which case I'm in control of running the lights and I'll have to get the SFX man to move the spotlight when it's needed.

I'm also running the lights for the next show (Grease), and they've already started rehearsals. I've got to show up to one of them to get an idea on the blocking, so I can get to work on the designs.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S EVEN MOAR!!!!1!
I have to take the bus in each time! It's $6.40 one way and requires a bit of walking on my part, which suits me fine. But even when my parents are home or they're not using the car I still can't get a lift in/take the car in.

Something I've had on my brain for a while.

Apparently I'm not allowed to play Oblivion because I don't have a disc drive. I have one of the laptops that lack a drive bay. APPARENTLY USING AN IMAGE FILE BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE A DRIVE BAY IS FUCKING PIRACY.

I actually prefer using no-disc mods because it saves wear and tear on my disc drive. I understand their desire to prevent piracy by requiring a legitimate disc to be present in the drive, but everyone knows that use slowly destroys things. It already spent a good 20 minutes (to an hour depending on the game) spinning full-tilt, I think my drive has stood enough wear from you guys.

I am quite protective of my stuff, because I don't make that much money doing odd jobs for family members. So knowing my drive is slowly being eaten away at by something that isn't desperately needed bothers me a lot. Not to mention there's the moment of frustration when you can't find the fucking disc.

It's the third sunday in 4 weeks that I suddenly catch some kind of cold out of nowhere. Sore throat, aching joints, very light fever ... enough to ruin your monday, but not enough to give you a good reason to skip class.

Extra-rant : every monday where I've felt like this, they arranged the schedule so two mandatory activities (one first thing in the morning, one late in the afternoon) sandwiched a bunch of useless non-mandatory stuff that I'd have skipped otherwise.

I understood that (And can sympathise, two of my laptops don't have them), I'm just saying using a no-disc crack constituting piracy is dumb for a myriad of reasons.

My roommates are so inconsiderate.

A few minutes ago Aja comes come with a couple of friends and comes into the kitchen to throw something away. Earlier, I noticed that they had thrown so much stuff in there, that it was threatening to all fall on the floor. The lid of the can wouldn't even close. I ended up tying the bag closed, hoping one of them would change out the bag (because why should I always do it?)... but instead I hear her go "UGGGGGH! OMG This is so IRRITATING!" and then she rants about it for a bit. I think she was sort of showing off for her friends, but whatever. Has she ever taken out the kitchen garbage? No.

What about all these dishes that are STILL DIRTY!? The big side of the sink is totally unusable because their dishes are overflowing. They did wash a few things, but they never took them out of the drainer, so that is full. The counter that the sink is in is also covered in dishes. There are still dirty dishes out on the porch from a couple of weeks ago... and instead of cleaning them, they put them in a box.

Now they are filling the house with pot smoke even though I have asked them several times to at least burn some (nag champa) incense when they do it so I can't smell the pot. But they aren't even supposed to smoke in the house. They signed an agreement with the landlady, and 'no smoking in the house' is one of the things they agreed to. She even specifically told them not to smoke pot in the house when I brought it up.

Man, I get no respect around here. I am gonna stay until I get my tax return in March sometime, then I am going to find a new place. I don't want to live here anymore if this is how it is going to work.
