It's 2011. If you're over 15, you should drop the fanboyism bullshit. There's no point in being one console loyal anymore, unless you want to miss out on shittons of good games.

When I was younger I was like "Fuck the PS3, Wii is gay, Xbox 360 is best."
And here I am now, pondering a used Wii while my 360 has mostly been taken over by my brother, and I don't even care. PS3 is still a little out of my comfortable price range. That, and I don't really enjoy console video games that much.

I understand brand loyalty with things like appliances and automobiles, but video games? Come on.

Holy mother fucking, god. Tonight sucked so hard it wasn't even funny. Let me give you the highlights.

-had to go to weeding that was supposed to tomorrow; was moved to today, and I had three hours of notice.

- pulled over, handcuffed, and had my jeep searched by officer dick head.

- labeled a heretic, terrorist, and job stealer by the catholic priest.

- got lost and had to ask for directions from these hookers.

- the priest rammed his car into mine, then called the cops; load and behold office dick head returned.

- now I have to go to court in three weeks.

This is only part of tonight, I may make a full rant with full story tomorrow.
Anyway how was/is your night guys & gals?

I have been playing these types of games for 20 years and there are some words you just know, and some you pick up. Want to know why this one thinks I am cheating? I played words like "TIKI" and "SEABED" and I have more points than him.

This is why you have both a Websters and Oxford English Dictionary handy. I've played words like "Colour" or "favourite" before, and people say I'm cheating. Then I pull up the oxford english dictionary online and pouting ensues.

Yeah, he kept on accusing me because my strategy is different than his. I like playing long words when I can. Especially if it helps me reach a word/letter multiplier. He prefers to play small words and join up lots of letters to make a few small words per turn. I could (and sometimes do) do that... but I play Scrabble games to build my vocabulary. I let him know I've been playing for at least 20 years... but of course, he won't believe that I started playing when I was 8. It is true though. I never really liked video games much. Scrabble was always fun for me.

The sad part is there are 30+ year old "PC gamers" that still immaturely maintain that any game that doesn't work out of the box, has bugs and isn't made specifically for PC is a crappy console port and sucks.

That being said, I abstain from 360 because of the rampant raging 12-year-old CoD junkie population and the fact that I have to pay to play online. Microsoft, y u subscription everything??????

Console ports generally do suck though, because the game is dumbed down in all aspects so the consoles can actually run it. For example, Crysis 2's physics and graphics engine could have been a lot better had Crytek not optimised it for the consoles, then ported the game from the console to the PC rather than develop them separately. If a developer listens to the players who are on the PC and who complain about a console port, then it's better, because then they'll actually do something about it. Rockstar did that with GTA IV after enough harassment from the forums.

On gaming forums yeah, but I don't agree that every gamer on the PC bitches about console ports. I know plenty of PC gamers who are happy with console ports as long as the developer addresses the problems with the game once it's released on PC.
