Mom doesn't care, Sister thinks its cool, my dad tried to warn me about 'furries are strange people' and I point blank told him that the furries were the ones that gave me the money to take us out to gamestop and blow 60 bucks.
He was silent after that.
Now I introduced him to Reddit and he can't stop. :3

I showed some friends my art and told them i was a furry; i closed my eyes expecting the worse and they just replied, " Thats pretty k'ool look'in stuff but, what's a furry?" man was i relieved.

Mom and therapist: Thinks it's interesting. They had absolutely no idea about furry prior to them knowing, so thankfully I was able to tell them both all about it without them having any negative preconceived thoughts from the media about it.
Step-brother: I really have no idea, but he seems to like them sometimes. He's usually a furphobe straight out of 4chan, but for some reason he tolerates me being a fur fine. He also has already has said if he was a furry, he would be a panther/ram hybrid. He also has been on Second Life, as a fox anthro, hanging out with my fur-iends and I.
Best friend from high school: Happened to be a furry years before I even knew about them. Learned he was one after we graduated high school in 2010, and he's a ("emothic") fox. After I started opening up more about my furriness with him, so did he, and I swear sometimes he acts like such a tool with this stuff. Always copying every single thing I or my fur-iends do and saying things that could make others facepalm (already has happened) or look like an idiot to some.
Anyone else that happens to see the fursona art I post up on my FaceBook for all to see not giving any fucks: They probably don't know/care about it.

Similar, but kind of different..sigh oxymoron statements. Anyway my family doesnt know im a furry per say, but they know I like to draw 'animal people'. They are all okay with it and think its pretty cool that I have taken up a hobby out side of gaming and uh...more gaming. The only one who has anything against is my brother. He is a very nice guy and usually is logical and honest, etc. But when he found I like to draw anthro or aka furry art he flipped out. I think it came from the fact that he has only gotten the pedo, porny side of the fandom, not the people who involve themselves for the art and community. Otherwise everyone, even meh friends think its unique and different, even if its a bit strange.

About 4% of my friends know what a furry is. My family is blissfully unaware.

My family and friends just think I'm drawing cartoon characters when I show them the anthro art I've done, mostly. Otherwise it's "animal people things" depending on who I'm discussing it with! Anyway, they like it if it looks good!

Most of my friends don't care. A few of my friends are into my art (they're artists themselves) and my family doesn't mind it, either. But even if everyone hated my furry art, I'd still draw it because I love doing it and I don't care if they don't like it just because it's furry.

To be fairly sincere, my friend is a furry porn artist.
He recently came out to his mom as bisexual and at the same time "as a furry". He then went ahead and showed her his art.
Turned out they're both furry and both "into" the same stuff and... Well.
