This is how I view the issue. College kids find ways to drink alcohol and they are under the age. But also I kinda question how just turned adults would be responsible with the alcohol if the law was changed to drinking at the age of 18. I am for changing the age of drinking from 21 to 18 but there would probably have to be a alcohol limit bigger than people who are 18. Like how most states says that if you have a blood-level alcohol level of 0.08 (I think someone tell me if it is wrong) you can not drive. I view that we should lower it to 0.06 for people who just turned 18 or who arent 21 yet but are adults. But hey this is just hypothetical and I dont see how anywhere in the future America would allow us to have the drinking age set at 18.

I think right now it is 0.02 for minors to get a DUI if they are caught driving. Though I could be wrong, that's just what I heard.

So I recently turned 18 and as you all know I can now,just to name a few things, use tobacco, get married, make a legal contract, consent to sex, buy a rifle, vote, gamble, get drafted into the military, and enlist in the military. So I can do all those things but I can't drink.

Well, you could move to the UK... or Australia... or New Zealand... or Europe... or Africa... where you can drink at or around 18 years old.

That's a lot of work to go to just so you can drink legally though. Just be thankful you aren't living in the Gulf states (including Saudi Arabia) where you can't (officially) drink AT ALL.

Drinking booze is overrated anyway. If you want to drink booze just to get buzzed, you're doing it wrong.

Anyway, I'm glad my parents were smart and taught me responsible drinking. Around 16 I could have things like an irish cream or glass of wine after dinner. I never really felt the urge to go out on my 21st and get plastered.

If you're drinking under that age with the expressed consent of your parental unit in your own home then you can drink. There's no law about your parent giving you a glass of wine on Christmas or a beer while watching the game in your own home as far as I'm aware.

I think that some states have laws against underage consumption, but it is a minority I believe.

Last I checked here there's a law against giving alcohol to kids period. Guess it varies state by state.

It's about responsibility, and at 18 you gain a ton of responsibilities yet the government treats you like a child with alcohol. Of course people are going to be stupid and binge, it doesn't matter whether you 18 21 or even older stupid people will still be stupid so it shouldn't be up to the government to decide when you can drink.

Though you can't sell to anyone under the age of 18, and giving alcohol to someone who is 15 or younger is considered child abuse, and child endangerment with various other legal things thrown in.

At 18 you are legally considered an adult, you will be tried for crimes as an adult, you can go to war, and a bunch more things I previously stated. If the government is going to try me as an adult and let me go get shot at for my country why shouldn't they let me drink too? Hell I can smoke right now that is even worse for your body than drinking.
