See, I'd love to draw the art but BWAHAHAHA. I have some amazing and magical drawing skills. On one hand: My pictures really come to life! On the other hand, they always tear themselves off the pages screaming "WHY!?!" and then douse themselves in turpentine before going down in a blaze of glory.

I'd wear a tail or collar if I had one. I'm not all weird and FURRY PRIDE about it, it's just a pretty kick-ass fun hobby. But I'd still like to show it off a bit. It'd be a pretty fun way to show it, I think.

I've always liked the art style and I play a lot of Fantasy style RPG's etc. *I am always* the anthropomorphic race, and I have always been that way as long as I can remember, and I've always most liked the characters that were in T.V. shows and animes, too.

I'm pretty openly a furry, I suppose. I talk about some of the stuff on FAF occasionally (usually the funny ones or Forum Games), I make note to correct the stereotype should it arise in conversation (which has happened like, what, once?). Though, I do that with all stereotypes, so that's not that special. I've no problem saying I'm a furry. I'm not really obvious about it though. I don't really do anything to give me away etc. I suppose I "growl" when frustrated, but that's probably just more of a suppressed RAEG F-Bomb than any connection to the fandom. I'm fairly into the fandom, since I hang out here all the time.

So, I post on a bunch of forums, look at a lot of furry art, not all of it adult, draw my own stuff, trying to write stories too, considering starting a business crafting mostly little miniature models of fursonae and such like, I go to as many meets as I can, and started trying to organise my own, I've even thought of helping out organising a convention, as well as going to a couple on occasion, even considered going on a long tour of america to visit a few there, and I'm trying to make my own fursuit.
so yes, it's a pretty big deal for me, not that it's my whole life or anything, just that there are so many separate parts and I happen to enjoy most of them, which takes up a lot of time and effort.

I don't really see it as a scale to be honest. it's always been a mutually exclusive option. You are either furry or not. I suppose you can be respectful of it, so there's that, but to me being furry is just saying "yup I'm a furry"

Funny thing is, most of my time in the fandom I've never felt that furry. I'm an admin, a fursuiter, artist, and so on, but it never really consumed my life beyond "anthro things are neat"

It really just depends on what you consider as more / less furry.

I wear cat ears / a tail, occasionally.
I wouldn't mind getting a fursuit.
I don't really like the fandumb as a whole.
This (FAF) is one of the only furry-centric places I visit.
I don't really have any fucked up fetishes. In fact, I even hate furry porn.
I want to go to a convention.
I only have one commission, for some fuzzy armwarmers.
I don't seem to have this "furry pride" / "we're in this together" / "furries vs HATURS!!`!" mentality that a lot of people in the fandom have.
I draw myself more as my real, human self, and identify as my real self, than as my fursona. Though I do have a fursona, for shits and giggles.
Furry doesn't really interest me beyond something that I bullshit around with for fun.

I wish I could be more involved in the fandom, but time and focusing on real life boring stuffs kind of keeps me from doing so. I know the day I had a brief gig working as a mascot, dressed as a huge dog with a huge head, I was a furry. It was hot as hell, awkward to walk in, and I could barely see, but at the end of the day, sore feet and all, I was smiling, because it was the most fun I had ever had. I'm glad I had that little 'test run' to be sure I wanted to do this.

I'm not openly furry, but I defend them if I hear convos that talk about them negatively. if directly asked I will say I am one, but I've yet to be directly asked lol. Odds are after I go to my first con, I'll be way more open about it. I know my friend at school wants to wear his future suit to the school for Halloween and I want to be his wingwoman lol.
