Can't Upload A New Avatar!!

I know you all have probably heard this a million times but I know to refresh the window or hit F5. But since the update I haven't been able to upload a new avatar no mater what. I go to choose a photo, and then I hit submit. It always disappears and never shows up in the boxes below.

I would just like a quick resolution if anybody has one, and sorry for the dumb question.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Clicking the link at the top of the page that leads to [fa]/controls/?fixfolders doesn't do anything.

change the file type to GIF. I couldent upload either until I changed the file type. its worse quality but its better than no picture?

I can't upload even as a gif. Even gifs that I'd used on a previous account without problems.

The issue with uploading the avatar is technical in nature. It boils down to some users having an avatar folder to upload their files to while the others not.
Yesterday I wrote and ran a script to retroactively fix all missing avatar (and other) folders for all user accounts on FA. The cause of the missing folders however has not yet been fixed so newly registered accounts will still experience this problem.
The fix for the root problem is complete, but requires some testing. This will take a few days.

That's great and all, but not only do I not have a gallery folder to submit in, I can't even upload an avatar. Your reply was posted at 6/22, it's been five days. Yes, my account is new, but you should figure out a way to keep new accounts from experiencing this problem.

have that problem too. i´m e new user..and i cant upload an avatar or picture for my gallery..what can i do? i click submit..but get always on the artwork browser...and with the avatar upload..its the same like kai.nao ....

Geez, guys! Yak is very busy! If he spent all his free time fixing FA, he wouldn't be able to rack up 30 hours of TF2 playtime in the past two weeks!

Also it is 'sort of kind of' fixed. Clicked the link lots of times during every other hour throughout the day so.. it took roughly about a day and a half for the issue itself to get resolved. Whether it was mod intervention or the system hiccuping or my button-mashing I can't really say..
Just hope it is fixed for others!
