Default Well, this was an interesting day.

I was at my brothers apartment today helping him set up his new tropical fish tank when we started hearing THUD THUD THUD on the door to the apartment downstairs, a really aggressive, loud knock, sometimes it sounded like someone was trying to kick the door in. anyway I decided to go stand on the landing and listen, there was one male, a child and a couple females trying to raise the attention of the guy living below my brother because they hadn't been able to make contact with him since the previous evening.

So naturally these people were worried about the guy as he wouldn't answer the door or phone or reply to shouting through the letterbox. Instead of breaking in the door and risking getting into trouble themselves they phoned for the police to help. Naturally with such a call lights and sirens were used, two police cars roll up, one brings out what is known here as two things "The key" or "the enforcer" It's basically the big heavy RAM used to bust open doors. Cops yell through the letterbox and knock on the door, still no answer. So control gives them the go ahead to use "the key" and bust down the door.

Meanwhile an ambulance arrives outside as well as everyone was thinking the worst....No....the twat was all fit and well at home wondering what all the commotion was about. For some reason he just would not answer the door or phone. Apparently he is a weed smoker, but personally I can't see weed making someone not answer the door or phone unless he was THAT fucked on it all night and day maybe.

My brothers GF rightly said it was a waste of an ambulance police units. But in the defense of the guys family they didn't know if he was or wasn't okay and nor did the police as he didn't answer to them either for some reason.

Problem is we are mere mortals and can not see through walls like superman, so no one knew what was going on. Besides he may not have been high, I was just told he's a weed smoker, for all I know I could have been misinformed myself so I'm not jumping to any conclusions.

weed is notorious for making people paranoid. Thus why he may not have wanted to answer the door

True, and this is assuming he does smoke weed and it isn't just wild rumours we've heard. On one hand I think he's a twat for worrying people like that causing his family and police to take drastic action, I mean they mutilated his front door, Victory Housing Trust wont be none to pleased. But on the other hand glad he's okay.

Wouldn't blame it on the weed, sounds like the guy is just a douchey retard.

Atleast the ambulance didn't need to be used, in the end- although I suppose there's a chance somebody else may have needed it in the time being.

Weird. If he was smoking weed at the time, I could see why he would want to keep it hidden by not answering, though.

That's mildly amusing, but I imagine his relatives were worried sick about him.

:V Let me rephrase that: he should have considered their feelings before choosing to isolate himself from the outside world.

Did they not think of just calling a locksmith?

Locksmiths cost money, and probably wouldn't get there quite as quickly. Considering they believed he could be dead or something, I can't blame them for choosing to call the cops sooner rather than potentially later.
