Lol another suggestion, this could be a bug though, but I'll recommend it here first and see if I should repost in the bugs section.
Set a post time lockout on journals, that you can't submit another journal for a minimum of 30seconds after you submit one. Assholes seem to jam the submit button to get FA to post 3-5 times simultaneously so they spam your J section in new submissions. I see it being done mostly by people trying to advertise, livestream or attention whore.
Is there seriously a reason anyone honestly needs to be able to immediately post multiple journals one right after the other? I don't see a 30second -2 minutes time lockout being all that harmful, rather, helpful.
3 things
An artist blacklist
A tag blacklist
A gore category
And I'm sure these things have been suggested constantly for years now, so why haven't they been implemented?
No, I don't think so.
Since Gore violates the AUP under the Photography section (With the Flash submissions section making reference to it) I don't see how a Gore catagory would be much use, however having said that, there are numerous digital and sketch art "Gore" pieces as well as storys, so I figure overall it isn't a bad choice to add such a catagory to those particular submission areas.
The point of a gore category is to keep it out of other categories
I don't like muscle, so I don't look at the muscle category
I do like tentacles, but since there's no tentacle category I go to Fetish (Other) which is where gore goes too, and with the new thumbnail system you don't even get a warning before clicking anymore, you just see the full image in all it's bloody glory
A category addition cannot be that hard to implement, it's just a matter of kicking an admin til they get off their asses and add the 3-4 lines of code it requires
No, I don't think so.
As has been said in other forum threads and various journals & comments on the mainsite. Custom thumbnails are apparently coming back to the site, however there are a few other features that are being implemented as well. So be patient and you will be rewarded for that.
As for categories, yes it wouldn't be too hard to implement it but there are far more pressing matters that need to be dealt with on the site than a simple category. Granted it should be added to help filter out gore from other submissions but in reality I see it taking a back seat when compared to other issues on the site.
One thing I am OCD about is the order of submissions in my FA gallery. I like to keep all of my submissions ordered by the date they were created. I used to be consistent with this order, then found some older works that I would to upload, but doing so will break this consistency.
Similar to how favorites can be modified (at least to remove broken links), can a future update include the ability to move the order of submissions in one's gallery? If this feature is already available, please point me towards how to do this.
How about a catagory called "Streaming" that shows up on the front page ;p
Who told you to put the cheese on? Did I tell you to put the cheese on? I didn't tell you to put the cheese on. You people with the cheese, it never ends!
Remove the ferret from the species list, its already listed under mustelid.
Up until the most recent update, I had a browser script that allowed me to go directly to the image for any image link I clicked. This was handy for me because I don't have the best eye sight and I like to open a lot of tabs at once. I think it would be handy to have an option to have images load at either "Full View" or "Download" size instead of always having to look at reduced-sized images and then then click a link to change the size. It would really save me a lot of time and frustration. -Thanks!
There is a fix for this
1. Click on this link: http://www.furaffinity.net/controls/profile/
2. Scroll to the section "User page appearance and preferences" (Just above Block List)
3. Change the "Full View" option from No to Yes.
It will ignore the smaller versions of the image and show you directly to the larger image.
Hope this helps.
Another suggestion that I'm surprised still doesn't exist is the option to filter submission comments "Newest First". It's frustrating to have to scroll far down the page of a popular submission to see what the latest comments are, while the first comment stays stuck at the top forever. Is there a setting to reverse this order that I am not aware of?
Id just like to say that the Fur Affinity image filters are probably the best on the Internet. But I would like to Suggest an extra gender filter. I would like it if I could display all images in the Browse section and or the Search that DO NOT contain hermaphrodites. I have nothing against herms its just I really love how FA goes the extra mile, I mean they even have a trans gender selection now which is great. Currently I use the search feature and add -herm, - futa, -futanari or -shemale, this does an okay job but I find it still pulls up images that are clearly labeled herm under GENDER: It does not have to be perfect Id take any extra specificity I can can get. I just hope my suggestion reaches the appropriate people before the finish rolling out the new FA site, the beta test looks really good. Thx for listing
Yet another suggestion I have thought of is the ability to mark read Notes as unread once again. Many times I will be checking my FA while mobile on my iPhone, and I'll read a long Note that requires an equally long reply which I might not have time for in the moment. It would be nice to set that message to "Unread" again so that I can be reminded to answer it when I return to my beloved PC *hugs PC!*
There just needs to be an option to display faves at random (on our profile page, not the favorites gallery itself) instead of just the most recently faved.
I'm very sure this has been said before, but how about putting back the preview thumbnails? Some artists like catmonkshiro and NecroDrone draw kinky fetishy things and have the courtesy to put them behind preview thumbnails so those of us who don't share that kink don't have to see it in our inboxes. (Especially annoying since they draw very nice sfw work.)
We live in such a weird society. You can automatically tell what one's sexual orientation is from just the bands or games they like, can measure one's I.Q. from said interests, and can even tell what they do in real life!
Long Live Single player.
There should be a way to disable preview thumbnails. It's better that they are all disabled instead of being forced on us.
I'm finding lots of people who have similar tastes to mine but who don't post things in their galleries. I'd like to be able to watch their Favorites.
I'd like to propose a "+Watch Favorites" button next to "+Watch" and a "New Favorites" category in the new messages list. There could also be a section in profiles that lists "Favorites Watched By."
This could be a lead-in to more social features to help users find people with similar tastes to congregate with.
Best,

I'd love to have the option to see when a user was last online or last submission in the "buddy list" I mean it is nice to see a mark of those who were banned or sadly have passed, but if someone like myself wants to trim down the watch list one has to open each user page and see activity.
PS3: Gourry25 (Play Fps's, Rpgs, fighting games, etc, just ask what i got)
Wii number: 2718-2672-3267-3714 (ask what games I play if interested)
I've been pushing for this for a while now and I'm sure I'm not alone - I'd love a means to change my username without having to go through the hassle of changing accounts. I'm in the process of creating business cards and every single one of my display names matches except for the one I made on FA.
Just throwing my hat into the ring. Thanks for the consideration~
I do believe the "user last online" idea may be implemented in the near future. In Fenders Journal here, it says;

Thanks to a "Rush-Job" back in the sites infancy the usernames are stored in such a way that if they are changed then it causes a shedload of further problems for the site. Here is the original discussion, Circa 2008.
Currently, and until such time a total redesign and re-code is performed, the only way to change your name on here is by registering a different acccount and declaring the other abandoned.
Would it be possible to have the Submit tab drop down and have options for uploading a submission (story, image, etc.) as well as a Create New Journal so we don't have to navigate to our journals first in order to create a new one?

PLEASE make the custom thumbnails work again ;__; i dont want to see poop diapers and castrations anymore...
and since the size of the thumbs was increased i can all see it clear as day right in the thumbnail.
i dont want to enable the mature/adult filter just to get rid of that crap.
so please, either give us a proper keyword and text filter or make the thumbnails work again :c
