Ebonyleopard hacked.

Hey all,

Some of you probably already know it, but Ebonyleopard's DA and FA accounts were hacked today. As of the moment I post this, the little prick from ED is rooting around his account trying to mess more shit up. This greatly angers me, as I know Shawntae's a good guy, gentle and kind. Definitely not deserving of this horseshit. I hope the little prick doesn't get away with it. Kudos to Dragoneer for catching the hack in the early stages and shuttering the account.

I thought I was on ED's side a few weeks back, but this shit makes me seriously consider going on a delete rampage through half their site. I do not advocate it, and I do not want it to turn into a war, but it's this kind of bullshit which makes me certain furries are on the right side of morality when they exercise their right to express themselves.

And to remove your faith, I shall tell the tale of a bunch of furries that spammed DA admins with false reports claiming a non-Fur was trolling and outright insulting another DA member because he dared to offer critique instead of posting "Awesome Sparkle Dog kthxbai".

This is bad news, though. Do we know if it extends beyond Ebony's accounts on DA and FA? That could make things even worse by the end of it.

Everyone's an individual. Some furries are just as retarded as anybody from ED, and some people from ED are just as nice as the nicest furries I've met. If it sounded like I generalized, I perhaps did. But here's the thing: furry is a lot of different things to different people. Some want to just be on the periphery, some want to take it deeper, some want to take it on as their new lives. Whatever level of your interest is fine with me. But I do not support using your interests as a club to beat someone, and especially invading their personal lives, extending to others' online spaces. In general though, most people who love the fandom are decent people. They love cartoon animals, some love real animals, some like to write music, some like to program Web sites. It's all great fun, and that's what it should be, but isn't when someone decides that they are "more right" than someone else and desires to deprive someone else of their ability to express themselves.

And this, of course, is all common sense that we all should know.
