I'm assuming this is done with a laser pointer. Watch how the dog bats at it.
If you point a laser pointer at an object, the dog is likely to bat at it, or swat at it. Since it's not low down, he has to get up on 2 legs and bat at it.
But, the person who is doing the laser pointing however, is really good at pool to make the dog bat at it in all the correct angles.

My problem with the video is that they repeat some shots (the first one, the combo, and the scratch) several times...
It's a neat trick, sure... notice the balls primarily star out pocketed, as well. This still must have taken a while to make, but the dog, while clever, is no geometry genius.
