Iconusername issue

Hello there.

To whom it may concern,

Other users have pointed out that trying to use the :iconusername: function with my username on the site doesn't work.

My username on FA is Shadow``Wolf. If it is because I have non-standard characters in my name, is it possible to reset my username?

I had opened up a trouble ticket a few days ago and so far no response, so I thought to make a post here as well.

Yeah, that's probably it right there... just another lil regexp thing, and no, there isn't a way to change your name in the FA system.. I'm surprised it allowed that name to be honest.

At the risk of pestering I must ask: No way? Not even an administrator can flag it to be reset?

I'm completely stuck with this.. I haven't a clue how it allowed it.. but I suppose it's something for the staff to work on, when they have the time for it (cos they have other jobs too)

FA wasn't designed to allow name changes... people were dumb in the original coding (something the current coders also say so shush >.>) and well... it's set up to be a bit too hard for FA to do. Resources and all that. They might grant special permission on this awkward situation, but I doubt it.

Ahh, I see. Well thank you for your time Aurali. I appreciate you being candid with me, and I think the easiest solution would be to simply just make a new FA account. I have done so already and begun transfering my things to the new one.
