You say that Alertpay have cancelled the account with no appeal, and Paypal won't let the site anywhere near it due to pornography, what options are left. Or are the AUP changes part of building a case to put to Alertpay to reopen or allow an account? If Alertpay and Paypal are out, there aren't many other secure options, so it seems to me this may be a touch late to actually make any difference. Horse/stable/bolted analogy.

It doesn't surprise me that payment processors would reject based on cub porn as in an increasing amount of states having adopted decency in art laws (or what ever they may call them) where are of child like characters has become illegal even in respect of cartoon characters and anthropomorphic characters, New Hampshire is one such state I know of where even cub art is considered pedophilia under the law, so this is good for FA and will send a message to the community that such things are becoming less and less tolerated by the law let alone the community, just look at most of the replies here of agreeing with the removal of cub porn for instance!

Well, considering five of them said flat out "no" when contacted... I don't think a reputable payment processor wants to face the risks of funding what people consider to be "child pornography". And here's the deal: when I contacted the groups, all outside the fandom, not one of them saw it as "cub art". Or something legal.

All were repulse. Some asked me never to contact them again.

Sorry, but it sounds suspiciously like your pictures were basically stuff that belongs on Facebook, not on an art site. If it's part of a tutorial, then edit it all into one image. Same with cables. If someone can't figure out how to plug in a speaker, they don't deserve sound.

And Furaffinity is not the biggest furry porn site on the internet. It's people uploading porn that gives that impression. Nowhere does it say this place is a porn site.

I'm not big on cub art myself. But the part that bothers me about this whole thing is that corporations are being allowed to control freedom of speech and freedom of expression by simply cutting off those who don't want to follow their ideas of what is acceptable, and what is not. We should have laws that prohibit corporations from denying services to someone based on these kinds of things, because it effectively prevents people from exercising Constitutionally guaranteed rights.

Corporations aren't controlling freedom of speech. They're controlling money. If we had all the money in the world we could do whatever we wanted. But nothing's free, and thus is the quandry.

Corporations go "You want what we have? Play by our rules. If not, find somebody else."

First, does the rule apply to stories or only to images?

Second, if the image is replaced with a placeholder "Image was there", is it allowed to stay? Comments are precious, I'd prefer to have them preserved, even if images are not.

Third, will AlertPay be available again when the rule becomes active?

Fourth, is it possible to make credit card payments available directly, without systems like PayPal or AlertPay? Like ASSTR.org does, for example.

I think SoFurry guys will be happy about this. A huge chunk of artists will probably move there. So far, they have no restrictions on cubs and their rules are much more tolerant overall.

CubCentral is dead by now. Although FA's tolerance towards cub porn before killed CC, I seriously doubt it can be resurrected.

Paheal allows cub porn, but it isn't community site, plus their rules get stricter over time.

e621.net is a place where images from other sites are shared, not where artists upload it in the first place.

Nope. Usually it's in their ToS. If your account is cancelled due to violations or because they feel it, any funds can be confiscated. That's the big beef people have with Paypal, is that they'll seize your funds at the slightest provocation, with no appeal.
