It has more of a legal protective standpoint, alert pay doesn't wish to be associated with adult content which could get them in trouble in some states and countries, generally though I would typically agree with what you are saying. But the way I see it and the law is quickly changing to see it is that the content in question is pedophilia in nature, thus why they wish to protect them selves and play it safe.

As for AlertPay keeping any funds, it's in their terms of service and is legal as you agreed to forfit it in the event you violate the agreement, it's called a contract and is legally binding, it is sad FA lost in money if such was the case I agree.

AlertPay, and several other groups, basically told us that whether they felt it was legal or not... the amount of money we'd generate for them in a year wouldn't amount to the legal fees that they'd incur a day if it ever went to court, and because of that, we weren't worth the risk of protecting.

Dragoneer, I can see some confusing stuff coming from this thread. Specifically the use of "cub art" instead of "cub PORN". AFAIK, you're only removing the pornographic art of cubs, why not state it as "cub PORN"?

I agree, I despise cub porn but I will not confuse it with cub art, folks, try to not get confused with cub art as cub porn, cub art is a broader term and can simply mean there is a cub depicted playing with another cub fully clothed in a sand box for instance, cub porn is just that, cub porn..

I am pretty glad that the porn itself is banned, but I'm now worried about some of the artists I watch. Admittedly yes, there are a few on my watch list that I really like who upload cub porn from time to time. I'd really hate to see them go when I enjoy their clean stuff...

Same here. One of the artists I watch had a journal on this, but after kinda speaking to him, his problem had more to do with his fans seeing as how most of them only watched him for his cub porn.

Dragoneer, as a neutral individual to this incident I ask the question on the minds of most of the Lulz board, if this isn't the first time cub art has been questioned then why is it that the sudden lack of money to be made makes the ban appear? Is it purely coincidental that you and the rest of the staff suddenly snaps to it when a source of income drops due to a "specific" type of porn? What is going to be banned next? How do you think this action will make users of FA feel and do you believe that this action could possibly push some of the more popular artists that enjoy cub art to leave FA all together and move to other art sites? Is it true that Ink-Bunny is not only making money while keeping cub art but is also using AlertPay just fine? How much is to be made from AlertPay from this sudden drop and how do you plan on explaining it in a more proper manner to artists that might side with some of the more extreme viewpoints of you only making this move to line your pocket?

Serious questions here, not trying to start any trouble, just looking for honest answers.

From what I've been reading. this change was crippling regardless. According to what you said, Dragoneer. AlertPay may not even approve to an appeal, forcing the admins to look for another source. and it seems a LOT of them are rejecting them due to the content. I hate to say it but I think this could be the end of FA. If not then I have no clue how we gonna get out of this.
