Thumbs down Re: The New Policy on Cub

I don't like cub porn/sex either, but I do think that this is just the beginning. Once again its all about money. The people with the money call the shots. What happens if they stop liking vore? Going to take that away too? What about all the guro, muder, rape, and blood art? I think its hilarious that murder, violence, rape, etc is just fine, but cub porn is a no no. So what is going to happen when they pull their money again based on what the media tells them is wrong? I'm just worried about the future of this site, since at first it was the only place furries could go to and be themselves and share what they are into without getting yelled at or banned for it. If enough gets banned, more and more artists will go elsewhere, taking their fans with money and ad clicking fingers along with them.

If they have any common sense they would know aged up means above 18 in appearance but of course there will always be those who mistake appearance to be younger, heck people think I'm 18 in RL when I am 28.

I'd suggest having it a rule to post in the description stating the age of the character in question, it's not hard even if you are lazy it still is only something like "Fursona Age: 19" how hard would that be?

"The end of FA"? How? Do cub artists suddenly count as all of FA?

    I have a question:

The specific age limit of "18". Does that apply to characters that do not age the same way as humans?

For example, any dog furry that ages like a dog (and thus would be an adult at the age of 12), or anything created in a lab fully-formed like Stitch? What about feral characters that would, as mentioned before, age appropriately for their species and thus hit adulthood before being 18?

Would those be disallowed, due to the age issue?

For "They" the other sides they have legal things to worry about themselves. EDIT: Working with a site that has piss porn has less possible legal issues than working with a site with minors depicted in sexual situations.
my questions were more of 'how is it just cub porn that made the company drop fa and not everything else on the site that isn't even moral either'

and i'm sure rape wouldn't have much legal issues, either, right, i'm just saying it's strange that it's /just/ the cub porn.

"ALL" as in the furry fandom. People certainly lumped us all together after the ChewFox controversy if I recall correctly. Imagine what they would have hought and done if ChewFox had said: "We even have our own brand of child porn!"

All is not lost worst comes there are merchant accounts for like $10-15 a month through banks and services that are in the "high risk" field of financial solutions online.

Most people think any furry art that depicts nudity, even if it is tasteful nudity, is perverted and obscene. So do "stop giving our enemies" ammo as you suggest, would require restricting ourselves to only fully clothed art.

But again, it's not a popularity contest. If the mainstream doesn't like the fandom, so what? Who cares?

I think draoneer meant only art that is of cubs doing stuff adults do would be banned.

Example: A cub and an adult anthro/feral/otherwise in a sexual position or a cub being sexual active with some-one/something.

What an interesting turn of events.

Licensed characters are going to be a future point of concern as the site grows. Sooner or later FA will hit Disney's radar as well as other companies.

One problem: What "gray area?" The law is very specific: Anthropomorphic furry art of underage characters engaging in sexually explicit acts is 100% legal in the US.

Define "cub art". Its very hard to tell the difference between chibi's and cubs to begin with so now the cub artists can simply say they are chibi artists. Now what I am wondering about also is what about cubs involving fetish things? Such as scat and the like? Will all pictures of cubs wetting themselves be removed? And I read funny comment on the first page. about how now FA will get a better rep *snickers* this is a furry website guys, its ALWAYS going to be consider a bane of the internet.

While this probably will be a good thing. It will effectively cripple some artists who do exclusively cub art. Still the only constant in life is change and they will simply have to adapt.

How much was lost when Alertpay dropped FA?

Things will only get banned if they're a legal liability. This was a legal liability. If more porn becomes a liability in the future, it will be banned too. That's not a bad thing. It means the site will keep going.

We were actually considering banning cub porn, and had a policy drafted earlier this year (around May, I think?). We were watching policies being proposed in the EU, Australia and other countries, and were in a "holding pattern". If the policies passed, blocking it in the EU or other places, we'd have enacted to protect the 20% of our users who came from those areas.

Be we opted to hold back in the name of free speech.

That didn't work out in the end.
