The introduction forum is not supposed to be the filtering system to determine new users' merits or the thickness of their skins. When you post in response to an introduction thread, you represent the entire community, and it's really starting to piss me off how aggressive and caustic this forum is becoming. I don't want a hugbox, I just don't want a shark tank, and that's what this place is turning into.

Unless you mean the forums as a whole, and not just introductions, then you can see the root of the problem. A lot of the people are simply whiny and report every stupid thing that shouldn't even need mod intervention. Those are the people you're trying to excuse here.

Besides, that's one of the reasons I always thought that becoming a mod here is a mad idea. Lots of work, no results and pain, like punching a brick wall in hope that you're doing it loudly enough to get people to shut up.

Well in the end FAF will change into a rage box eventually. Most forums do no matter how many good vs mean you have. Being nice to the newbies I can see and respect though I feel as though they should have to take a quiz proving that they read the TOS and rules.

They left anyway.

The Intro forum SHOULD be a filtering system. Whoever is not willing to adapt and improve will be filtered out. They will go somewhere else and thrive, we wont have to deal with their bullshit. Its a win-win.
