So guys like, what is your favorite Nintendo game/franchise?
Definitely the Smash Bros series, I haven't played the newer ones but brawl was my jam!
Same, I had a lot of good memories with Brawl.
Not really a huge Nintendo fan (more of a Sega kid, yeah), and even with several consoles by Nintendo I've owned in the past, my favorite games were usually third-party ones like Castlevania and Phoenix Wright, but if I have to choose, I'll pick Metroid: Zero Mission (arguably the best 2D Metroid to date - really, I have enough reasons to consider it objectively better than Super Metroid ) and Animal Crossing (played Wild World a lot in particular). Also, replayed original SMB a thousand times during both my childhood and in recent years, but I wouldn't call it my favorite, since it doesn't evoke many strong feelings in me compared to AC or M:ZM - it's more of a fun "default" game to kill some time when I don't know what else to play.
Splatoon was pretty good for standing out among shooter games.
I was pretty surprised with how fun it was to play.
Banjo Kazooie and Paper Mario were so awesome until out of touch corporate vampires ruined them both.
Haven't played Banjo and Kazooie but Paper Mario is a shell of its former self.
Yea, it is, you can fold him to make a shell ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I see what you did there fam. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Zelda: Majora's Mask. Oh, and Mario Kart 64.
Gotta love the classics. IMO those game had the best items in the series.
If or when I get kids I will definitely show'em those games. BEFORE moving into other crap.
Show them that story/gameplay>graphics.
l couldn't agree more.
These are the necessities.
Definitely. Show'em older but good classics. Show them good games with good stories and/or gameplay.
Exactly, you gotta show 'em the best of the and how we got to this point. (Which is the reason why I love Nintendo games cause I feel like they have some of the best quality out there.)
Show'em the good shit first. Teach them and show them that quality is more important than quantity.
After that, they are free to explore the world of gaming. :3
I think it was Pokemon for me, for sure. That was "it" for my childhood. I played a lot of the different Mario titles as well.
