This is to discuss restoring the MBR with Linux OS. My hard disk is not working. I think there is something wrong with the MBR. Somebody told me that it is possible to correct such errors with the help of Linux OS. Does anybody of you know the procedure? If somebody knows it, please tell me in detail. If I can fix the drive, is it possible to get the data in it or should I go for some recovery process? Now I understood that it is really important to keep a backup of our important files. I read about online backup options here www.storagepipe.com: Endpoint Backup and Sync (Online Backup for Windows, Mac, Linux) How about using services like this? Is that safe?
