Things about furry smut.

I've been a frequent viewer of adult furry content since 2013, thanks in no small part to the Elder Scrolls franchise and various OVAs and doujinshis I've seen on the internet.
There's no doubt that many artists have created great works over the years, some of them being outright masterpieces in their own right.

But there have been some things that have bothered me about the topics adult furry art tends to indulge in. For one reason or another.

    1. Orgies.
I dare say the first iteration of "true adult furry art" I ever saw was of some random orgy between male and female furry characters. I don't even think it was intentional, I believe I was looking up something else and saw it pop up in a site somewhere.
And for some reason, this has been seen as a "staple" of adult furry art for the longest time. And I think I can see why; whenever I try looking up particular art on either FA or e6, there's at least one public orgy going on.

I suppose it bothers me since I tend to prefer adult art that's more "private" in nature. Also, because these orgies seem like they're done more for shock value than anything else. Out of all my explicit favorites, I rarely have any with the "orgy" tag on them because I find it really hard to look at orgy art and actually like it.

    2. Furries with human hair.
I'm really on/off about this. Because on the one hand, certain characters do wear out fitting hairstyles really well. I've somehow tolerated bovine characters having human hairstyles to them and such.
On the other hand, it makes others stand out a LOT more than they comfortably should, and even if that's the point, it sometimes tends to bring an unwanted aura of obnoxiousness to whatever the character is. It's even more noticeable when the hair's at least three different kinds of colors that are separate from the color(s) of the rest of the character's body.

    3. Inflation/Hyper Sizes: I appreciate large physical figures as much as the next person, even a bit of chubiness every now and then, but there is such a thing as "too large to appreciate." For me, if it's too over-exaggerated or too impossible in size, I can't buy into it.

    4. Diaper
There's a thing for this? It's just...why a diaper? Okay, I get some people having a strong connection to childhood and/or wanting to be cared for by a strong matriarchal/patriarchal figure, but...through these means? By trying to replicate an infant, something you once were but can no longer physically be now?
    Diapers? I don't get it.

    5. Vore
The ultimate mood-killer. In more than one way.
There's affectionately biting at someone and then there's actually biting them, body and all. Nothing ruins the pleasure and tension of the art when suddenly, one of the lovers is consuming full parts of the other, digesting them until they slowly and painfully die alone, unloved, in the stomach of their traitorous once-significant other.
I suppose this is the one I understand the least. As far as I see it, you can't please what is dead waste.

    So, yeah. That's about it.
    Any thoughts on this?

    Belatucadros Totally customized title

Hey, whatever floats your boat and makes you happy I guess. Even if it does include eating your lover and then shitting him/her out two hours later... wow is all I can say.

Well, the mere existence of furry smut irks majority of population off, so it's strange to hear complaints about bizarre things in a genre that's bizarre in itself by default.

I'd like to think it's a matter of becoming a fan of any niche. You spend so much time in it, you begin to look past some obvious oddities and question the smaller things in it. Like, why "these" particular things are so popular in it.

Blacklist is limited in usefulness, however. There might be some great art you miss out on because it has that "one" tag you thought to add in it for whatever reason. Then, it makes liking the art harder once you do see it because, hey, it's got that one thing I don't like.
    But it's well made.
But am I willing to stretch my preferences to include "that" one thing that I normally don't prefer seeing, or do I make an exception to that one piece of art?

I thought I'd express my thoughts on the matter and possibly hear other people's thoughts as well, like right now.

Reminds me of the first time I read the summary of a particular nsfw japanese game. One of the guys is realllyy interested in the main protagonist and then it's revealed that he literally wants to eat him. The bad ending is that he eats him and is so sad but hungry that he starts eating himself.

I still think about that one occasionally .

I've been in fandom long enough I've become desensitized to most things. Part of it is the realization that even if I don't care for something, someone else probably does, and it's not my place to tell them what they can and cannot enjoy.

This is one reason I adore Derpibooru's filters. You can choose to hide a tag entirely, making artwork with that tag not show at all, or choose to make certain tags "spoilered", so they'll show a warning graphic instead of the artwork' thumbnail. Best of both worlds.

An interesting idea, although it seems restricted to a site maining MLP artwork.

I think I've only got three favorites with the MLP tag in them so far, one being a pteranodon lady wearing a shirt saying "MLP" (No idea if that's an actual character or not) and two being chimera ladies.

  11. WolfNightV4X1

WolfNightV4X1 King of Kawaii; That Token Femboy

You misundertood like the majority of these fetishes...

Well, for starters, theyre not yours to like. Weird people like weird things, it's not for you to get. Keep in mind other people are dumbfounded that you look at humanimal porn.

    1. Orgies- Really, really simple reason here, dude. YCH. Multiple people feeling their murrsona is included in a piece. Besides that not everyone need sex be private, its their own taste

    2. Furries with human hair- theyre anthropomorphized, that means some furries have hair, are plantigrade, have fingernails, etc. There's no rule in how much to humanize or animal-ize the. If we decided to make them more animal, female cats and dogs would have eight human breasts instead of two! (...and well, lets face it, some peopls find that kinky, too). I think animal hair is done really well in most furries, Tom Fischbach of twokinds does most his characterd with hair and it looks fine (his art style is probably my favorite type of anthropomorphism anyways). In fact, my fursona came about to have hair becauss I was seeing a decrease in furry art without hair and it was starting to look off to have a "bald" character. It's silly to think that now but again it's all personal preferencs

    3. Inflation/Hyper- You got me there, but people really like big titties/dick/gut sooo...

    4. Diaper- actually some people wear diapers minus the baby stuff (the DL side of AB;DL). It's a comfort thing, I dont really knock it myself but cant say I share the sentiment

    5. Vore- You're talking about hard vore, dude. Entirely different from soft vore, which does not involve maiming and digestion. Most soft vorephiles like the intimacy of being swallowed, or the perception of warmth, sliminess etc. (imagined sensations of being swallowed), they enjoy the submission aspect, and most soft vorephiles usually dont dwell on the digestion aspect, usually conveniently skipping it or teleporting out

TL;DR What's there to get? Dont get it, just accept it exists and like the things you like

Well, nothing stops other sites from developing similar functionality, you know? Derpibooru may be MLP only, but their filter system could easily work on a site that wasn't.

Excellent advice; in some circles this is summed up as YKINMK (Your Kink Is Not My Kink), sometimes adding ATO at the end, for "And That's Okay". It's a pretty good guideline for interacting with others on the sexual/kinky side of fandom.

I was giving off my interpretations of what I thought of the kinks as well as a little bit of why I thought they might be favorable to other people that like them. Or as much as I could.
And I didn't mean specifically hardcore vore (I may have worded it wrongly), I meant it in general.
Not sure how you can misunderstand a fetish since there's lots of ways you can interpret one.
That's what I was more interested in, I think; other people's interpretations of them.

Like the interpretations in your reply and the ones before your reply.

I wasn't interested in just "accepting" the fetishes, otherwise I would learn nothing about them. It's why the suggestions to sites like Derpibooru and Gelbooru weren't as useful to me because I wasn't looking for other sites to use to block these listed fetishes.
Or why the term "Your kink is not my kink" also wasn't useful, because it's a given folks have differing fetishes.
It feels like you thought I was bad-mouthing all these fetishes for the sake of it and expected them to conform to what I liked.
    It wasn't that at all.

It was more to learn why people might like them, or hear other people's thoughts on them.
    Except maybe vore, but yeah.

I should've made my intentions more clear in the post (And perhaps not have such a direct title for the thread. Yeah, I'll change it to look less like it did), and for that, I apologize.

Overall, this has been a fairly invigorating experience so far.

TL;DR If I don't question something, I will never know "why". You've shown me there's more to get in your reply alone.

This is a genuine question, and I don't want to start a new post about it, so I'll just ask it here. Also, please don't just say I'm a sick bastard for liking this sort of thing. I just want a direct response to my question because I'm not sure of a better place to ask it.

I've been viewing sexually explicit art of feral creatures for years now, but not once did I consider what US law dictates regarding that since all this content is easily accessible on 18+ image boards like R34 (and for that reason maybe it's alright?).
I do NOT practice or endorse real life bestiality at all, but I like viewing it virtually whether it be the art on FA or with Skyrim mods.
I'm too afraid to Google it directly, and I thought someone here could point out where the line is drawn in the States.
I apologize if this is a stupid and obvious question, I just haven't seen anyone talking about this before.

    Impulse-8 That one guy.

I've heard about some states specifically making bestiality illegal, while in a few others the act may not be. I'm not too sure which ones, though.

I've never heard of explicit feral art made by Americans getting taken down for directly/implicitly endorsing the act. That would be a big chunk of removed smut, it would be a major controversy in the fandom if it did happen.
It's more the actual act in real life that makes the news on occasion.
