What was the last album you listened to?

Gave a listen to Vengaboys non-remix albums... Vengaboys - The Party Album! Electronic, Trance, Euro House 1998 The artwork is a guilty pleasure of mine. I swear they're parodying The Village People. Inside the booklet, it's nothing but pictures of animals mating. This is what those Dutch...

What was the last movie that you looked at with your eyes or maybe just heard?

The Aviator: It felt like two movies in one (which is good because the duration is not exactly short), but you don't get bored. You have Howard Hughes the film mogul, and Howard Hughes the aviation pioneer. Both of Mr. Hughes' worlds are shown and both are just as enjoayable as we get shown a...

    Vaporwave Thread

Liking the use of the OP title font. Very appropriate for the topic. Righteous avatar, too. As an 80s retro-nut it was only a matter of time when I was going to be exposed to Vaporwave. When I found a Vaporwave website, it was so OVERWHELMING. There were SO MANY groups, each with multiple...

What was the last movie that you looked at with your eyes or maybe just heard?

Does the title Glory ring a bell? Or a bugle horn? Here. This will hold you over. I haven't watched it and I don't really care. I'm not the GitS fan I thought I was. Hate her new haircut, too. To quote a foreign film, she looks like a Romanian truck driver. My turn... Terminator 2...

Need to know the name of this animae

Hmm... are you sure it was a series and not a movie? Did Pay-Per-View (if that was the company) do series back then? Oh, and just to be clear, anime has been imported to the west for decades. You're referring to the 1990s anime-boom, where the popularity of such media was reaching new heights...

What was the last album you listened to?

Haddaway - The Album Electronic, Pop, Europop, Eurodance 1993 The one that made us ask what is love, but the entire album is great. Some CDs have too low a volume. So I played it safe and bought this one instead of an original release for its sound quality. Haddaway - The Drive Electronic...

    Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Is it just me, or did it feel that TCW lasted too long, like many other series? I used to watch it, but lost track around the 2nd season. Then I find out -thanks to this thread- that it made it all the way to a 6th season, cancelled to boot. I like Star Wars as much as the next guy, but...

Swat Kats Revolution - Kickstarter campaign has begun!

Going by the initial impressions of the conceptual art, I suggest they'd call it Swat Kats Beyond instead. :P

    Animation that blows your mind

Just about all of the Jonny Quest franchise had great animation, but it's the original run that stands out. BTW, this series is now 50+ years young.

What was the last movie that you looked at with your eyes or maybe just heard?

I've been on a vintage sports documentary binge for some time now. Here are some... Clutch City: The story of how The Houston Rockets became back-to-back NBA Champions back in '93-'94. The title comes from the press, naming them so due to their comeback-performance after a humiliating loss...

Bad guys that you wanted to win.

The Hive from Teen Titans GO! It's easier to root for the baddies when you realized how screwy the heroes are.

What was the last album you listened to?

Thompson Twins - Singles Collection: Synth-pop 1996 It's a compilation of the extended versions of their hit songs. Excellent for long car rides.

What was the last movie that you looked at with your eyes or maybe just heard?

Agreed. I enjoyed it more than I did with Despicable Me 2. As stated, Minions: It's amazing how these little creatures' movie, without a lot of actual language being spoken, was able to become a far better spin-off movie than The Pinguins of Madagascar, which could've been better. From their...

Bad guys that you wanted to win.

Michael Douglas' character in Falling Down, William Foster: I'm not even sure if I could count him as a bad guy, much less belong here. I didn't see him as an antagonist until 3/4 of the movie. Still, I felt kinda bad that for him.

What was the last album you listened to?

Music From The Motion Picture Titan A.E.: Electronic, Rock, Modern Classical, Pop Rock, Synth-pop, Ambient 2000 It's amazing how well this soundtrack works with the movie. Just as amazing that I like it. There's another album that contains the original movie underscore. La Bouche - Sweet...
