The reply limit is meant to prevent spam and as a way of preventing bots from making a mess of the forums.
However, if you reply/make comments too many times within an hour or something you get your total posts limited for some time. Not sure how long. Started yesterday. Really annyoing. At this rate I might as well just start a private group conversation..
