But with art, it's different. Some of my old art is embarrassing mostly because I posted it for the internet to see. Plus, the quality was MSPaint level and I was into some "different" stuff back then. I don't want to be remembered for drawing that crap. I can build upon my more recent works anyway.

The common response to someone who can't stand their old/bad art is to keep that junk "so you can see how far you've come". But why though? What good will that do you? What positive can you gain from acknowledging your art history?

I agree, but only halfway. Yes, you shouldn't draw if you don't enjoy it; that goes for any hobby. Why stress yourself for no reason? But sharing your art isn't a bad thing, and is necessary for artists who do it for a living. 'Art that gets noticed' and 'art I enjoyed making' aren't mutually...
