I'd have to say my favorite metal band that leans into the death metal category is Gojira, although a lot of their music transcends the subgenre. In terms of favorite genre of metal, not too sure. I like a variety of groups, so it's hard to settle on one kind of sound.

Drums and Guitar, in that order.

I use Logic Pro and a Presonus Firepod. I've been pretty happy with my results so far.

Oh man, Lateralus has got to be one of the best sounding records ever created. So rare to hear an album that is actually DYNAMIC and not crushed/compressed to all hell. Some of the best drum engineering I've ever heard.

Loved the film, also found it interesting how it felt like the director (Neill Blomkamp) was inspired by different video games...I kept seeing elements of Half-Life 2 and a little of Metal Gear Solid 4 throughout, as well as others. I guess it makes sense considering Blomkamp had been tapped...

I've been hearing that you don't really want to get Wolfenstein strictly for the multiplayer, as I've been hearing it's pretty lackluster and the campaign is really the star of the show, and I think there's only 3 different modes.
