    Your most nostalgic smell

That's really interesting. Does all food taste 'bleh' to you now? I know the sense of taste is tied to the sense of smell to some degree, but not how much.

    Epiphanies You've Had

I had the epiphany that stopping to look at a reference of something I am struggling with doesn't break up the flow of the creative process or slow me down -it speeds me up and reduces stress by, like, a lot. This seems incredibly obvious when I type it out, and I keep beating myself for it, but...

    Your most nostalgic smell

Oddly enough, not as weird as the title makes it sound. There's always that one smell. You smell that smell, maybe in passing, maybe while out and about with people, and nostalgia punches you directly in the face. You lapse into a memory coma while your friends look on in concern. That smell...

How do you all draw so good?

I made 5000 drawings that looked like utter crap, at which point they started to look like not utter crap.

Quick! Grab the object that is standing to the right of you! It will serve you as a weapon!

One of those stuffed monkeys with the long arms and the velcro on its paws. Well, maybe I can strangle someone.

    Tiger's Art Thread

I need more excuses to do art, more frequently, and so: this thread shall henceforth be a catalog of my work, both wips and completed pieces, to be updated as I produce them. If I stick to my guns, updates should be fairly frequent. (Also I've noticed submitting to the main site only gets one...

    How do I do?

The middle drawing is the most compelling in my opinion because of lighting, values, fur detail, background and expression -so, keep doing that. To get noticed? Draw. A lot. Post a lot. Livestream. Share your process. Find something that makes your artwork unique and amplify that. My major...

Ethy's art corner - Critiques wanted!

^ I agree with the above poster, but I don't think using pure black or white is best -rather, super dark or super light shades of colors like blue, purple, and green up the contrast and add depth and vibrancy to artwork. There is no true black in nature simple because of the way light and shadow...

    Should hunting be illegal?

Hunting and fishing should absolutely be legal, particular for the purpose of feeding oneself or one's family, or even crafting (leather work and such). It's poaching that's the problem. Killing a critically endangered animal for one part of its body -such as a rhino for its horn, a tiger for...

    As an artist seeking commissions...

Yes, I remember reading about your troubles, actually. Here's a question: what exactly encourages you to purchase art from a person?

    As an artist seeking commissions...

Where the heck did they go?? It seems that when I first joined FA in an attempt to find work there were a lot of people hiring for a variety of projects and most of them were paying pretty well, but as time went on they sort of... disappeared. Now you're lucky to find anyone paying over $20. If...

    Information on avian suits?

I kept looking between the two, wondering why that was, when I realized that on the right a. the eye is shinier and not perfectly round and b. the beak and even the markings turn upward, as though smiling. The bird on the left is a sad bird, staring blankly into oblivion, thinking only of worms.

    Information on avian suits?

Hey! Some colored concepts for my avian suit. I'm not sure whether to go for more realistic (left) or more stylized (right). The left is almost an exact copy of a real life blue jay -only the eye color is different. Honestly, I'm leaning more towards stylized. I like the longer head crest.
