    Firefox raped me!

Admit it, you were asking for it. Why else would you wear an OS designed specifically to provoke the poor Mr. Firefox to react in such a way... Deep down you wanted it, you even liked it!

If oneday we were all turned into furrs by some magical powers what would you do?

Invest in shampoo and vacuum cleaner companies. Then spend my days doing kinky perverted stuff to myself (though my SO would be free to join in, I guess) while I wait for the money to roll in.

    any canadian furrs out there?

There's loads of Edmonton furries, some of them are even pretty cool people (I can only count ten of them, tho', because I run out of fingers and my boots are too tight to easily remove...). There's an EdmontonFurs Livejournal community, and a Yahoo Group (I believe) and there's always...

    Are adverbs not allowed?

Damn, sometimes I just love your posts. That was brilliant, and painful. Brilliantly painful. Whatever. :D

    any canadian furrs out there?

I'm in Alberta too, but then, Calgary is like the Furry capital of Canada, right after Toronto. Actually, Calgary is pretty much the #1 anything in Canada, right after Toronto. Damn Toronto, and it's... Bigness. :P (Well, excepting wealth - Calgary is still leading all of North America -...

    any canadian furrs out there?

    Are adverbs not allowed?

It's probably one of those "things to avoid when your new" as over using adverbs is common in really amateur writing. Or it used to be. Now, with the Internet raping language every day, I'm usually happy when a new writer knows what an adverb is. So that if they do get told they're getting...

    How to win an argument

Am I the only person here who read that page as being 'funny' rather than as 'serious advice for winning a debate'? :P

my sole problem with writing about furries...

But why do we need a 'furry' genre, even a 'furry' sub-genre? We don't - as far as I know - have an 'aliens' genre for sci-fi that focuses on how alien characters are alien (and longcat is long?) so why would we need a 'furry' genre, or need to pick and choose which stories involving...

Sooo... are there any Seattle cons?

Conifur Northwest used to be in Seattle-Tacoma, but I think 2006 was it's last year, due to hotel issues. I'm sure if you googled it, you'd find more info.

my sole problem with writing about furries...

And from my point of view, the way you look at things is like writing about aliens is 'alien fiction', not sci-fi, and writting about elves is 'elvish fiction' instead of fantasy. Why should furries be a genre, when the multitudes of other non-human things that are used in stories aren't...

my sole problem with writing about furries...

@Poetigriss: I think I've discovered the basic assumption that we don't actually share: For me, "furry" is no more a genre in itself than it is a fetish or anything else. My furry characters are characters, not the intrinsic element of a work. I right fantasy, science fiction and erotica...

my sole problem with writing about furries...

To the contrary of everyone else here, I'd say it's perfectly fine, depending on the story, though there's plenty of ways to describe accents without referring the the specific country of origin (rolling consonants, silenced letters, clipped words or running words together in the sort of eastern...

how big a part of your life is being furry?

Furry is not a fetish. I really wish whoever has been spreading the idea that it is would knock it off.

how big a part of your life is being furry?

I draw furry stuff and I hang out on furry forums/sites. I draw maybe 2 hours a day, and I'm online maybe two hours a day. Not everything I draw is furry related. Compare that to an average of 16 hours a day at work. So I'd say it's a pretty small part of my life, regardless of how many...

Well, that answers my question. :)

my sole problem with writing about furries...

I'm not a writer genius, obviously, because I don't quite grasp the problem you're having. How does, "Bob was a wolf/fox/lizard who hated his job." sound babyish? You can't just say that character x is x species and be done with it?

    Drawing Supplies

The amount of folks that use printer paper to draw on regularly in this fandom appalls me. Not knocking it as a choice, as as I mentioned it's a personal thing what folks prefer, I just wonder if it was a choice at all for most of you, or whether it's just 'convenient unlined paper'.
