"We do not believe you are a good match for our community"

Actually, I think the only problem I see is that Frank Gulotta is a troll. So, we all move on, don't feed the troll.

The "strangest" foods you've ever eaten

That is pretty close to Menudo - cow's stomach soup. It's okay to eat but it stinks to high hell when you're cooking it.

    your latest purchase ! :3

The Old Warhorse bought himself a brand-new Bostich 3/8" crown (T50 size) pneumatic stapler! I hate window and door screen repair because it's a bi . . . , a bear, yes, a bear to fire a butt-tonne of staples to hold the old fashioned screening in the frames. Not any more! Yeah, my house was...

I'm not going to mince words: FA's support for stories/literature is atrocious.

Up until recently, I only posted in .pdf format. There was a thread where the PDF format was being eschewed in favor of the .txt format, since it didn't require a download. My argument in favor of PDF was the story was formatted in the manner I wanted the reader to enjoy it. The foil to that...

"We do not believe you are a good match for our community"

I'm not clueless, Frank. I host two BBS and I admin a third. Rules are set forth, the ones you most likely breezed through and did not read when you signed up. As the owner of the forum, they have every right to ask you to leave or ban you. You agreed to those terms when you signed up. If that...

"We do not believe you are a good match for our community"

You're not getting it. Their house, their rules. You don't pay for services here and your agreement to use FA and FAF say you play by the rules and they reserve the right to refuse service for any reason or no reason at all. Just like going into a grocery store; they reserve the right to refuse...

I'm not going to mince words: FA's support for stories/literature is atrocious.

As far as .PDF format is concerned, I was told .PDF format makes people just move along and not read your works. They can't be arsed to download a file (three seconds of their life) so they look elsewhere. I honestly think it's the fact they're surfing from work or school and don't want to leave...

The "strangest" foods you've ever eaten

I was ripped and when it was offered I tried the Hákarl one night in a bar near Keflavik AB, Iceland. I think we had Aquavit to wash it down. Not sure, that whole night was fuzzy except the fermented shark that tasted like ammonia. Salmiakki (salted licorice) is actually pretty good but yeah...

    Firearm Owners In The Fandom?

Went to the range with our Armalite/Colt 601 clones that are chambered in .22lr and blew through about a thousand rounds. Those rifles cease to amaze me. Not a single jam, fail to feed or stovepipe all day. The range d00d was amazed we were having a blast just ripping targets to shreds but ya...

Critique: Unusual body suit crafting idea - would this even work??

You know, a large number of suits have front zippers that once you've taken off your head and gloves, just like taking off coveralls. Well, you've covered one method of digi-legs. Most don't put an outer layer of legging fabric on, though. I would think some heavy opaque pantyhose, glued in...

Critique: Unusual body suit crafting idea - would this even work??

I'll point out, it's going to be next to impossible to sew fur onto a stretch garment properly. Stop and think; when you take the athletic garment off, it shrinks dwn to its original size. How are you going to know how much fur to sew on and where to position it? Keep in mind, only that horribly...

Do you need to know it all to be a maker?

You don't need to know it all, you just have to be able to make it work and appear professional. I'm sure all makers didn't know everything they know now when they started out. And, knowledge is gained through trial and error when it comes to fursuiting.

List of web browser plugins Deprecated, Discontinued & Extinct with the rise of HTML5 & HTTPS.

W3C and WHATWG do not support or control coding. They only put forth what they think (key word) is the best coding practices. That is all. And you don't particularly need SSL (Secure Socket Layer, old technology) or TLS (Transport Layer Security) for your website, if it's not used for commerce...

How Open Are You Being A Furry (New Fur Help)

So, I don't advertise I'm furry. My last job before retirement was in a school district as an electronics/communications tech. A few teachers and one principal knew I was furry because they were too. My immediate family (wife and youngest daughter) know I'm furry and that's about it. Some of my...

    Who is the oldest furry?

My first Sci-Fi Con was in 1975, San Mateo, CA if I remember right. Sci-Fi Cosplayers, Star Trek Cosplayers, a few Furry-based space characters, four(4) Start Trek blooper reels. One lady was doing an Orion Slave Girl cosplay, green makeup and all. I thought she might have had professional help...

    Who is the oldest furry?

Gonna be Medicare age (65) this year. Not as old as some but I was around before there was a "true" fandom. That's where we had to go to Sci-Fi conventions to do furry aliens of whatever species. @Keefur - 60 is the new 30. Just sayin' . . . ;)

    Slim Paws Guide/Help?

Sadly, all of the original photos of The Old Warhorse ver 1.0 were lost in a HDD crash. Thank you Western digital. No more WD drives that will do a head crash, damaging the platters. Since I'm almost down to a weight where I could wear my suit again, I might be able to post some new pics of him...

    Upholstery foam question

It doesn't have to be a high density foam. A nice medium density foam would work just fine. I'm not sure how extensive your local "Big Box" store sewing department is but you might be able to get some foam there.

    Machine sewing thick fur

Well, three things. Either get a metal frame and geartrain sewing machine, find a used but still good older metal home machine or industrial machine or buy a serger. The serger does a ladder stitch by slacking off the needle tension and tightening the lower looper. By pulling the seam flat, the...
