So guys and gals, I'm injured and out of work and pretty stressed because now, I may have to have surgery on my right knee. Been a problem ruminating on past crap and I need to distract myself.
As a result, I've been getting back into art a bit more.
I've got a new ref:
I also have a higher...
Boop getting refs
EDIT:
I guess I will jump on the bandwagon
I'd love a drawing of my character Rip the Otteroo https://www.furaffinity.net/view/8408763/https://www.furaffinity.net/view/14034277/
I'd appreciate anything really. I beleive I got an old color scheme linked and a newer ref...

If you want a dorky topic, how about on crutches with a hurt right knee? That'd be a fun pick-me-up
Yup-- nice to get back into art again and of course I remember you now, lol (duhhhh)
I discovered your identity trolling your account to find your FA link
Hey-- yeah I've been gone for a while. (I hope you're not offended, I don't recognize your screenname). I just got sidetracked from art. Decided to come back.
So folks, I know it's been a while and I've been feeling really uninspired and depressed. Decided to fall back into my old hobby and take up art again.

See this skull, as an example. Skeletons are angular in nature so that they may better...

I need a little help with this drawing:
Quick description: could characters sitting facing each other at a bar table, with the character in the foreground turning to his side/facing the viewer to belch fire.
I need help with figuring out the legs and how to make them work-- obviously I've...
Meaning tends to come TO art more successfully than it is forced there in the first place.
If you're feeling it, draw it. If you're not, why put it in there? In the same sense that if you were drawing an arrangement of flowers you wouldn't include a person because "all great art needs people"...
If you're going for a conbadge, most are heavily saturated in color. You might as well bear down on the colored pencils you're using and make sure it looks solid, otherwise it comes across as hastily done.
I can provide anatomy crits if you want them-- I think those may help you more than...
Both. Getting the basics down is the key to improving. You need a foundation before you build a house. You need a skillset before you can accurately share what you see.
Drawing basic shapes and forms will be very important to understanding space, form, texture, value and structure. Drawing...
