I figured it'd be easier to make a catch all thread, since I'm picking up the pace. Please bid on the link for the YCH, bids made on this thread will be discounted.
Current YCH: Campfire Gaze
This one is unlimited, and is neither time limited or limited by buyer! It's 10$, and the final art is...
Here's the link, if interested, bid! Starting bid is $10.
If the deadline passes with no bids, I'm gonna pop in my own characters. Please bid only on the original link.

I love watercolor, but as I've been getting older, I've been preferring to work primarily in monochrome. Part of the reason for it is for time, but I feel like working in monochrome gives my imagination more space? I'm a big comic and manga reader, and while I appreciate the effects color can...
I've been in a few... I find them kind of frustrating.
I'm talking about local community based ones mostly. I feel like I put a ton of effort into a piece, and unless (or even if) you're in the top three, the exposure you get from the contest is nil.
It's worse if the contest has a vague...
That awkward feeling when you can't find the right sub header.
Anyway. I'm currently involved in about 3-4 regular games, and with the last one, it's mostly made up of randos at the game shop, and it's a big group. We're playing AD&D 2nd edition, and we've got 2 problem players as it is. I'm...

I had an idea...
I will draw your OC.
Rules: Come prepared with clear reference images, and an idea for posing, costuming, background and theme. One character only. They will be drawn in this style:
It'll be in monochrome, though, not color.
The Winner!: Fronk-the-donkicorn (Done!)
I'm giving out some portrait pics! But only to people who haven't gotten them from me before. I'm doing 'em in the style of my own icon.
Okay, here's the rules. Come with references prepared, color preferred. Also, you MUST specify the mood of your character, ie: joyful, proud, angry, sad...
I've been doing 'em on sketchcards I had left over, so I've been cranking 'em out for fun. Drawn in ink, scanned in Photoshop, and colored in Krita. Trying to do a couple daily as a warm up for other projects, so if you wanna suggest any characters, I might do'em. (No OC's though)
It's not the first time I've tried to do it, but I feel like I'm lacking in something, mostly when it comes to the the self promotion side. Perhaps I'm just too reserved. Also, my job has the worst timing in scheduling me for hours.
Anyone else trying to get an art career going, or sustaining one?
I'm trying to get back into drawing after having to take a while off for personal and medical reasons, and I'm considering doing a YCH. Last time I did one, I started the bidding at $10, is that considered high? It was SFW, and to be honest, I'm not that familiar with doing the auction thing.
I'm currently waiting to see if my job is going to okay my medical leave, and nearly everything is making me fatigued and frustrated. When I'm like this I like to hear that other people are having an okay time, at least. But if it's rough, thats okay too. Vent!
I've been on there for a little while and have yet to find a serious commissioner. At best, I've only found commissioners who honestly have no idea how much work they're asking for, or no clear idea of what they want. Am I looking in the wrong places? I'm considering just dropping the site.
I got an eviction notice yesterday from the landlord. We've been here about 6 years. To be honest, I'm not unhappy about it.
He sent THIS one after the month's rent was a week late, since I wasn't getting hours, and I'm paid bi-weekly besides. We previously brokered a deal with him to stay, and...
I haven't done much fanart of... well anything... in the last year. I kind of miss it, it was good exercise, but I had a huge creative dead zone in the last year and a half. I took on too much work, and burnt myself out, as well as personal problems.
When I do fanart, it just feels... lacking...
