The background looks great. The loincloth shading still looks... weird. There's a shadow behind his leg too that looks sketchy. Try using the smudge tool to blend it.

- Your technique is a bit strange, the lineart is choppy and uneven in some areas but alright in the tail, and the shading - especially in the loincloth is too rough. Are you drawing with a mouse, or maybe starting out trying to draw with a tablet? - The shading is a bit light; what I do...

I actually started drawing anthro after picking up a book describing how to draw them, by an artist called Brett Booth (who interestingly enough has a VCL page) I fell in love with the artwork and endeavored to make my own. The rest, as they say, is history.
