The brush selector has a tendency to do that if you have the older version of X. You can get the patch from Corel's site.
On thing that helps to get it back is hitting ctrl+b (which is the brush selector) twice
Very cool. I am a big fan of life drawing sketches.
There are a couple things to keep in mind when you're doing them just for help in improvement. Start trying to draw the torso first. For some reason psychologically we tend to make the heads bigger as we draw, though it doesn't help to try...
I don't think there is anything revolutionary about this per say, but it seems whenever I encounter tutorials they don't go into looking for planes/mass depth in terms of shading. It's more like "Shade in dark"
I'll go into more stuff later.
Tutorial here...
Nah you're not bothering me with responses to the sketchblog, if it starts up inspiration and ideas, then that's a GOOD thing.
I would say Painter is very close to generating Oils, I just tweak the brushes to suit my needs. Then again Painter is the natural media king, least close to...
Sketchblogs are highly useful and fun. I wouldn't worry about making finished pieces, even just exploratory doodles like "ok this is how a leg looks" can help you out tremendously.
I'll start working on a breakdown of how I do color too.
These are basics but I think a lot of people know...
So often people say they can't draw straight lines, especially in digital.
You can use the line tool, however, there is a keyboard shortcut that helps keep things in perspective.
In Painter and Photoshop the key is the SHIFT key.
You can hold the SHIFT key as you try to draw a vertical...
Smooth bristol usually works for me. It's got enough weight for less bleed through. I have found that I don't really like microns, due to the fact that the ends tend to split a lot. I like Zig pens and copic multiliners. A real inker will tell you use a brush ;)
I think the honest answer is when people approach you to buy your work, is when you're commissionable. I keep hearing/reading "well I'm broke, but I would if I could" excuse far too often. This is not an issue. A person will buy your stuff regardless. I've seen it, someone says they're broke but...
I actually got the original art from a commission long ago. Ronzo Murphy is the artist
I told him I'd color it, and I just finally got around to doing it.

I think I was one of the few artists that commissioned a human character at a furry con >.<;;;
AniMage is my...
In the future it may help to link your gallery. Anyone has the potential of being commissionable but you have to weigh against supply and demand, if your stuff is like anyone else's and they can get it easily, it's hard to be commissioned. If you have and ability to give customers what they...
A deletion code isn't a bad idea, it will only be sent to that user's email in order for them to confirm a mass deletion. The hacker wouldn't be able to empty out any galleries.
I believe the reason mass submission deletion was not enabled has to do with the fact people were getting their accounts hacked and that was one of the easiest ways to mess up an account.
I think someone said it best, and I believe is was words passed down to a friend of mine who worked with comic artist Jim Lee (who may have gotten it from Spielberg).
"Don't study what I do, study what I do study why I do it"
I was not looking at so much Porntomo's style but looking for...
No, see I don't care if you want your watch list on or off. I don't see what's "High Horse" about it, why however, are you interested if whether or not OTHER people want their watch list on or off? I don't care if others want it on or off, or care if people are watching me or not. If you like my...
