It definitely falls in the realm of "hobby", but there's something there that's deeper than that. It's hard to explain. I don't think about it as often as some may, but it manages to influence me all the same. Time-wise, it definitely takes a spot underneath guitar and piano.

Actually, I forgot to mention that iTunes has pretty good encoding. I recommend it if you're on a Mac, but I've been told it's a bit sluggish on Windows machines. Support for mp3, wav, Apple lossless, aac, and aiff conversions.
