Reading this, then thinking back to the OP post I have to agree with Runefox here. It does sound like your main reason for this is due to lack of sex. Of course, it probably is not your main reason for suggesting trinogamy.

If your current partner says yes, go for it, so long as it is what everyone wants. What worries me is if one becomes jealous, that could cause quite a headache in such a relationship.
