Why not just get rid of it altogether? If it's not going to be resynched, and it's not that important, then it would be better to not clutter the page with false data. People can count their submissions by hand if they really need to, but that's not hard at all with the options to view...

You say you submerged your Wacom pen? Those things get power by induction, enabled by being over the tablet surface. No batteries or power source to worry about if it's just somewhere drying.

I rather like my general-audience cons. I can go places without seeing stuff I don't want to see when I don't want to see it. It's wonderful. There's always a time and a place, but that time is not all the time.
