I know it no longer does the western roman empire fell to the germans, while the eastern roman empire also known as Byzantine empire lasted until 1453 ad.

Ah forgot to comment on this, hate to break it to you but religion doesn't control the world actually our governmental system and societal rules are based off of roman laws and that, hell it'd be next impossible to find a western civilization not based off the romans.
