Lately I've been resenting teh w33d. Perhaps because I have to eat it. The effects last so long and I become a slug when I'm on it. Maybe I can get some drawing or gaming done, but it's never my best work when I'm high. I would smoke it if I could, but my lungs are borked, I can't smoke anything.
THC is a little insidious. It has a lot of great benefits (pain relief, sleep aid, anxiety relief), but it... dulls people. It's 'non-addictive dude' sure but plenty of potheads just fall into an endless, passive rut of using it even if they could technically stop any time.
Just some random thoughts. I'll probably still grab some if I'm having a bad anxiety week, but I guess I'm seeing where the anti-weed crowd is coming from. It's not quite as benign as people make it out to be.

I’m not addicted, I just need it every day or I get irritable.
I absolutely am not productive, though. I only do it in the evenings when it’s time to chillax.

It's similar to caffeine yeah. It's not really an addictive substance, but there is withdrawal if you stop intake

Well caffeine is truly addictive. Take a regular coffee drinker off their supply and they're going to be having a bad time, trust me.
If you stop weed suddenly the mental toll will be high but I don't think you get the same physiological distress that comes from caffeine withdrawal.

Went on a nice hike and sat by the moonlit water with some "catnip" watching the sun set while the air was still and only the occasional critter could be heard. Very peaceful and relaaaaxing, then floated my way back in a comfortable haze in near darkness as the mostly-crescent moon lit the path. (I see very well in the dark IRL). Awesome time!!!

I had to quit to get it out of my system for a better job but once settled I will be back.. I miss how it helps me relax and shut my brain off so I stop stressing. I look at my stuff daily and say not today sadly lol

You keep calling it catnip which makes me laugh but I literally had a friend in highschool years ago that smoked catnip for real, said it gave him an awesome high and he could buy it cheap. I told him I'd take his word for it lol

Lovely walk tonight, enjoying the sunset with some nice catnip and I even encountered a deer mere feet away from the trail I was following! She was camouflaged so I didn't see her and, well, catnip and all I suppose, but as she quickly rose her head in the bush with my approach she was seemingly used to humans and cool with it because she didn't care that I interrupted her at all! Just looked up a moment and went right back to her wandering as I floated right by slowly.
Real Disney moment. Awesome encounter. She must have sensed the peace emanating from me. <lol>
