The internet could become a real place.
The internet disappears altogether
Dying alone/young.
That logic makes no fucking sense. If you die old, it means that you didn't do enough in your lifetime.
Physical pain that never dulls that lasts for eternity. With your very sense of self abolished in the process.Remember: Physical pain is only the beginning.
Let me guess, it's like the Tree of Pain with a hint of Evil Dead mixed in? Bet I know where its branches go in ya.Tree of Pleasure would be worse.
Understandable, but will it really matter? Your name will still be around, but no one will remember you for who you were anyways. They'll just remember a few things that you did.And in reality Jashwa? In that case, my worst-case is pretty similar to yours. Not dying alone, but dying forgotten. There is no conclusive proof of an afterlife, nor conclusive proof of a good one. I do not want true name immortality, nor do I think it ever possible. However, before I die, I wish to make a name of myself. Make myself another Aristotle, another DaVinci, another Caesar. Someone whose name, if not forever, will not be forgotten in two generations.
In the end, no. However, it will give me comfort knowing that even just a fraction of me will exist for a fraction more in the great cog of the universe.Understandable, but will it really matter?
Which is more than can be said for others. Can you name your great great great grandfather? Your great great grandfather? The name of the man who founded your city? They were all people, people of actions and people of identity. But their names are faded, and with the exception of the lattermost unlikely to last another century or two without active focus. And without that, what proof is there to their ever existing? They'll just remember a few things that you did.
Losing my foreskin. Don't know what I'd do without it.
Yes, yes. It's important to us that still have it.:smile:You know what? As off-beat as that is, I agree.
