A very new furry

i just pretty much discovered that I am a furry and I’m very new to the idea.
I’m young but completely ok with adult content, I’m pansexual, and I’m female.

I’m relatively sure that I am a fox furry, but I don’t have a fursona as of yet. I’m also interested in making friends and using the sites I’m joining to discover myself fully.

I’d love some help coming up with ideas, and I’m not a great artist so if anyone knows an artist who does commissions cheaply then HMU .

Thanks for the reply.

I’m not looking for adult content and if anyone tries to push anything towards me then I will report them immediately. I want my time on the site and with the community in general to be completely and utterly SFW for as long as possible, and if that changes then I will defiantly not use this site for those purposes.

Hello and welcome! I had the exact same experience about 2 months ago. I had just discovered I was a furry and had no fursona. I had a general idea that I was either a wolf or a fox. Eventually, through a bit of research, I discovered that I was a European jackal. I came to this decision because they are the closest real-world animal I could find that was a cross between a wolf and a fox that also live in the area near where my family came from.

This is very exciting and I would love to help you out on this journey! There is something you should ask yourself starting out. Are you wanting to stick to a real-life animal or do you feel more like a mystical animal or a hybrid (combination of two or more animals)? There isn't a wrong answer but deciding early on whether to ground your first fursona in reality or be a bit more whimsical will help as you go forward.

I am still growing myself as an artist (read: I'm not very good), but I would love the chance to help draw/design your fursona for free just so you have something. Here is an example of an original character I designed for someone else so you can see what my style looks like.

Like @Fallowfox said, you should be careful around adult content. Be sure to let someone know if another user tries to force any sexual content onto you.

if you need help making a character then what i can suggest is thinking about what things are most important to you and making them aspects of the character you use.

that way not only is it easier for people to understand your personality from the outset but also it makes them very relatable to you and you can use them to express things that happen in your day-to-day life.
