About Female Homosexuality...

It seems to me that enough men in powerful positions find it hot that it's ignored and even encouraged in some cases. Either for the voyeuristic fantasy or in hopes of having a threesome with two girls. Gay guys don't factor into that.

That being said, this is coming from a straight guy who *isn't* turned on by lesbian sex. The possibility of pairing off with somebody who would rather be with a woman but is only with me because that's what society expects of her is more nightmare fuel than anything else. If I'm going to be romantically involved with someone, she should legitimately be attracted to my kind. I can't quite fathom why male or female homosexuality is frowned upon in the first place. Just let people do their own thing. They'll be happier for it and there will be fewer unpleasant surprises down the road.

Since threesomes have been mentioned a few times now, I'm reminded by a dumb stereotype involving them. I hate how people generally agree that two girls and one guy is hot while two guys and one girl is disgusting.

Two guys and one girl is disgusting because I should take the place of the girl and I'm not and I'm jealous, therefore it's bad

I'm okay with the MMF and FFM set-up. I can only bang one end so I don't see why not share the other end. He better clean up after himself tho.

I'd blame a combination of misogyny and homophobia, with some shaming thrown into the mix. As if to say "how dare a woman enjoy that sort of thing", or "how dare two naked men be in the same room together". There's nothing inherently gay or misogynistic about it. Just another weird double standard. Then again, there's no shortage of either kind of threesome in furry porn. As long as it looks like the two guys are pleasing the girl, or it looks like the two girls are pleasing the guy, it registers as straight to me. Straight or not, however, I agree that the stereotype is stupid. Some people really need to get a life and be less concerned with judging what others do or fantasize about.

Just go on PornHub right now and look up the term "double penetration". See how many results you get.

As a philosopher with most of my areas of interest being civil rights and social justice issues, I can confirm that gay men are more stigmatized than lesbian women. There were a few arguments I was reading in one of my courses on LGBT which had crime rate statistics to verified this as more than mere anecdote. Of course, it's not concrete guaranteed and always true, but, in a general sense, at least, yes, lesbians are more accepted than gay men.

Not aimed at you, Maelstrom, but I have little sympathy for straight furries that lament that they are a minority. I love how populated we are with LGBT furries because it's one of the few communities like this that exists. Homo/bisexuality is normal here and it makes a nice change.

No worries, I'm not single anway and I don't really sit around lamenting, crying "woe is me" about being a non-gay, non-bisexual female. I'm not involved in the fandom to use it as a matchmaking service.

Although I had one female on Second Life who never really grasped the notion that I just was not interested in any form of a sexual relationship with her, most of the weird, awkward, uncomfortable moments I've had were with creepy straight guys.

In any case, I just say "no thanks, already taken" and let them sort it out however they choose to. More often than not, the gay chicks are like "aw, okay, that's cool."

It's the straight guys who end up being more flouncy and dramatic when they're rejected.

I actually do sympathize a bit with those. I've certainly found it harder talking about being a furry or explaining how I know my friends to my parents... who completely dislike the idea. My sexuality is seen with some legitimacy at least.

And as a bisexual furry, I'll go ahead and say even with the numbers bisexuality is still routinely erased within the fandom. Some people are just really intent on acting like we don't exist.

Even when they're surrounded by us, they just pretend we're all one or the other. It's ridiculous, there's nothing that can be done about these people.
