As far as I know you're well liked, but if you feel tat way, Ill say to you what I say to everyone who asks that question:
"Are you the kind of person you'd want to be around?"
Seriously...I knew someone who was mopey all the time and spent every moment complaining about their woes, yet couldn't fathom why nobody wanted to hang out with them voluntarily (as opposed to being trapped in the same room as them). I knew someone who was constantly telling rude sexist jokes and being a macho arrogant tool...same confusion from them. I know people currently that have absolutely no interests at all and respond to any suggestion of an activity with a "Uhhh, I guess so..." at best, yet can't figure out why nobody wants to be around them. Some others literally tell nobody anything about themselves nor their interests and somehow expect others to just gravitate towards them.
And yeah, some people expect others to magically solve their problem of boredom when they refuse to put any effort into it. I call that "being dragged through life" and it's rarely worth then effort. People should leave your presence with a sense of "well that was worth my time!".
I don't know you obviously so this may not apply at all, but usually when I ask that question the answer becomes apparent quickly enough. So...objectively and honestly to yourself, ask if you'd want to hang out with you, based on what you put put there for anyone. Remember, people don't know your hidden interests or thoughts, only what you tell them. And of course, sometimes the people around you are just by coincidence not compatible with you if you live in a small place. No magical formula here.

Who me? I'm bisexual. I'm fine with having a loving relationship with either a guy or girl. Gender shouldn't affected a loving relationship, as I feel one's based solely on attraction or sex are... Well, I'm not too sure if they actually care about each other.
