Any folks here live in/around Columbia, SC?

I usually spot quite a few fursuiters running around at the local cons here(SodaCity, Nashi & Banzai). Which is shocking to me as I never thought of any furries living here in South Carolina!

I tried to check around to get info on meet ups. As Im trying to be more outgoing and meet new folks. But I've never seen any active groups or pages running. Even the Facebook page is a dead end. So, just thought I'd post here to ask as I doubt anyone would bother reading a journal.

I don’t live there exactly, but I live in Augusta GA which isn’t very far really. Y’all have some great stuff up there.

I’m personally trying to save for a trip here soon to go to Repticon...but not having a job is making that impossible.

And yeah. There’s not many furs around here outright. No good groups...

Frankly, I dont identify as a "furry". But, Im active in the fandom as an artist. Plus, theres just nobody here I can really talk with and relate to

My neighbor says there's a big group here they're a part of, but they pretty much just hang out at each others houses and don't actually do anything?

So. Not quite what I am looking for...I'm in the fandom about 80% for the art and 20% to have fun. Hanging around watching movies like you're still in high school isn't my idea of either of those. They don't go suiting, they don't really do much in the means of art except for a few of them, and they mostly just want to waste time at work or such and I just can't get behind it.
