I have one, large tribal tattoo, stripes spanning my chest in a sort of 'v', a design from Indonesia and the Mentewei Tribe, a smaller island off the coast of Sumatra. I got it to remind me of my basic connection to humanity, as a sort of reminder that I'd rather be around a camp-fire, listening to and telling stories, and yet, here I am.
Took maybe 3 hours, and geez, by the end, my body had released so many of those chemicals that it does when in pain, I was having some really vivid hallucinations. I recall looking at a billboard afterwards, and all the letters suddenly flew off it, as it has been shaken, like a sheet or towel.
Very memorable. I may add more of the other stripes/parts of the design, at some point.
So I suppose, like my fursona, I am literally striped : )

I have a small kanji on my neck that means soldier. And I have a scroll on my right bicep surrounded by a dragon with four kanji symbols that means soulmate. My wife has a scroll too but hers is in a lotus flower. She has more than me. She is my soulmate!

Always wanted to get a tattoo I have a few ideas. Major one would be my Icon and another one would be a torch in a shackle with the zipcode of where I grew up and the years I lived there.
I have a few things I would need to get. They all hold significance. I thought about getting a tree with a pentacle in the centre of it in front of night sky with two ravens on my shoulder blades looking down at it.
If anybody knows what that is referencing I'd be happy.

Why does that sound familiar? Idk. I plan on getting a paw print(s) somewhere. I want one on my neck. Also plan on a wolf as well.

I know the feeling! Once I get my taxes back I am gonna finish up my left arm and have two full sleeves.

How much are tattoos where you are? In Australia they are around 150-200$ an hour if you want professional quality

For us in the U.S. its a based on a few thibgs I guess. The level of detail, the amount of color and time it takes. I think my last tattoo was 3 sessions around 5 to 7 hours each. It cost me roughly 400 to 600 each session but this was mostly due to the amount of detail and color It had.

Always wanted an Indian ink tattoo. Granted what I'd get has more internal symbolism. Would still love to get that one on my back. I know a tattoo artist so if I ever come up with the fuck load of money I may go to him.
