Anyone Read Carpe Diem?

Soo.. yeah. What's been up with the comic, Carpe Diem, lately? I go to the site and it doesn't exist anymore... T.T

apparently the domain is expired, and so is the comic. Which sucks because I'd been meaning to start reading it again.

As quality goes, it was pretty not good. I read about five of the comics before I gave up on it. Glad to hear it's gone.

If I may hijack the thread slightly... can anyone recommend a good furry webcomic? I've been keeping track of Better Days and Kit n' Kay Boodle, but have grown tired of the pro-war, pro-incest plot in the former, and the utter lack of plot in the latter.

So yeah. Any stuff out there that has decent art AND a good plot?

no

I think the only results you'll get will be by writing/drawing your own comic. I'd read if it wasn't one of the furry comic archetypes: slice-of-life, gay slice-of-life, space-idiot-fest, comic-that-survives-only-by-sole-virtue-of-characters-being-gay, political-circle-jerk, incest-fest-3k, okay-its-sad-time-now.

I will give you the gay thing on Carpe diem...
But, then again.. I liked it, so m3h.
Kris has been made officially sad...
Ah, well... I still got my VG cats! ^^

I was following a non-furry webcomic by the name of PXI(?) that was fairly interesting. It wasn't complete at the time, but it's been probably 2-3 years since then. It was a horror/identity story about a girl who was between life and death (or possibly dead, it is very ambiguous) attempting to remember who she is/was. It begins at Day 0 and ends at 11. It features some very surreal art/designs, much of the imagery is reminiscent of modern Japanese horror media (it was manga-esque, as well).

Apparently Carpe Diem is being put into webcomicsnation.com slowly? You probably knew...just trying to be helpful. http://www.webcomicsnation.com/graveyardgreg/carpediem/series.php Only the introduction, Chapter 1, Chapter 1 Cover are in, though.

According to Wikipedia, it also goes by Paper Eleven, and ended in 2005. Here it is!

If you're also looking for new webcomics to follow, this should turn up SOMETHING interesting.

I'm going to delve into Paper Eleven tomorrow, thanks for the recommendation. :)

Neither are acctually Furry, but both are good comics imo.

Yeah, I didn't actually LIKE Carpe Diem, but most of the artists who worked on it were pretty good. So since most of it was shots of half naked guys working out I'd check it out for anatomy references and try to pretend I wasn't essentially reading someone's fantasy of a gym that doubles as a gay bar.

I was never actually caught up with 8-Bit Theatre...But...It was excellent...Till it just became...Silly, I think around the time they somehow became the greater classes...And a bit before that even...But, up till, was bundles of funny.

Edit: Heh...I guess I'm the type who likes Carpe Diem so far...-Started reading a bit after the topic started...-

Wow... -Loves Carpe Diem now...- Twas great...I don't suppose anyone can suggest another comic similar to it...? Heh. I tore through all the chapters last night...-Daydreams of Ken...- But yeah. ^^;, the question still stands.

Not A Fox

nothing
Carpe Diem was kinda ok, art-wise.

For the first six pages or so I think

Then someone else took over

And that made it ugly

And then there were big continuity errors

And then I said these guys do not have their ACT together

And then I closed the window

Yea

OH HAY SINCE I DON'T WANT THIS POST TO BE ALL NEGATIVE AN STUFF I THINK MAYBE I SHOULD SUGGEST SOME KINDA NET COMIC

YEA

OK CHECK OUT INSTANT CLASSIC ITS PRETTY BADASS I THINK

Well, getting to read it all in one go was nice. Even though, I agree...A common artist would have made it much better...((-Coughs.- It would be amazing to see a full grisser version of it...But..-Shrugs.-)) But...I do love the plot, and the characters to say the least.

http://www.pholph.com/index_a.php?Strip=1

its a strip called JACK.

some ideas will make you laugh, and others will make you break down and cry....i know i did.

the link above will take you to the first strip

I rather liked carpe diem...not nessessarily for the art but more for the story

other ones that are good are Vinci and Arty, and VG cats

a good non furry minimalist comic is www.inhislikeness.com
